Training help?

MODS: if this is the wrong forum, feel free to move.
I’m looking for some help. I’ve been flying Falcon for a few years but nowhere near as good as I’d like to be. BMS 4.33 has made it all the more challenging. I’m wondering if anyone here might be willing to help me learn BMS 4.33 more thoroughly. What I’ve learned so far has been a combination of going through the training manual and trial and error. There’s only so much I can figure out on my own. At this point, I think having an experienced pilot guide me through the training missions, as well as other facets of BMS, will enable me to become more proficient at flying BMS the way it was intended.
For the most part I can takeoff, navigate, and land consistently. I can also use the radar to some extent. But what I can’t seem to do are some equally important tasks like using TFR, avoiding SAMs (I always get killed), and finding ground tragets, to name a few. As mentioned above, I’ve read the training manual and gone through the various missions. With the exception of takeoff, landing, and carrier training, I’ve worked through each of the missions almost a dozen times but still can’t seem to master any of it. I’ve also watched different YouTube videos countless times (e.g.,
, ) but still have difficulties with most of the training missions. I understand most of the concepts but putting them into practice and achieving the proper results is where I seem to fail.Having looked at some posts in a few different forums here, I know the most common advice is to join a squadron. I’m not comfortable with that for several reasons. Most of the virtual wing websites I’ve visited (e.g., 72nd, 87th, 185th, 440th, etc.) all have a minimum set of skills, a number of which I don’t feel I’m proficient in. They also appear to require a minimum number of flights per month, as well as having certain timetables during which the training lessons need to be completed. Lastly, it seems they appear to prefer a certain type of recruit - someone who freely joins in, posts in forums, participates in flight nights, and just makes himself known. That’s not me. I tend toward the quiet side, am uncomfortable in group settings, and prefer learning on my own timetable.
Hopefully, there’s someone here who’d be willing to help me. All I ask if for some patience and understanding in helping me learn BMS. Although I can’t offer much in return except my thanks, what I can promise is that I’ll do whatever I can to consistently show up (barring real life situations), be prepared, and do what it takes to learn.
BTW, I’m on Pacific Standard Time, available most week-day nights after 7:30pm. Any willing pilots, please PM me.
Thanks.

If you have access to Discord, feel free to join the Falcon Lounge. A link is provided in my signature… it is a pool of BMS pilots to gather and make merriment… its a good start point to find people willing to help and get you flying and make some MP friends along the way… good luck

Paveway, thanks for the link but you may have noticed that I specifically mentioned not joining squadrons. Appreciate the thought, though.
Quasi, didn’t know about the Falcon Lounge on Discord. It might be an alternative. Thanks.
