Saitek X-52PRO Profile UPDATED 3-30-12
-
I reassigned most of the keys to single keys in the game, saved the file (ronbms), then created the profile. att’ed are the key file(ronbms), profile(.pro)and my “gouge” sheet.Works real good. Now having said that, I also have a CH MFP which is set for all MFD buttons( left and right MFD) + 5 extra buttons( see gouge sheet"). Also have CH rudders with toe brakes. Could not attatch all file due to file type requirments. On gouge sheet the “red” are the “pinlie” + key. If anyone wishes files PM me with e address.

Hey Pop,
Coming from a programming-newbie: why would you reassign most keys to single keys in the game?
-
Just uploaded latest update which re-maps TrackIR functions so as not to interfere with IVC Comms.
You will need to re-map you TrackIR keybinds as follows…
Center = Shift+F1
Pause = Shift+F2
Precision = F7 -
Hi Hard~Deck,
Am I nuts or is there no binding for Landing Gear up/down available in your latest profile?
cheers mate.

You are perfectly sane…
I purposely left if off there after accidently ripping my gear off a few times

I hope you dont mind Hard-Deck using your picture, but since you asked me…here is how i have my HOTAS layed out.

Not at all….I will check it out later on as soon as I get a chance. Thanks.

Hard deck-
First off, excuse my general lack of knowledge with the X52 but my friend is trying to get setup with this great profile…
We cannot figure out how the mini-stick functions as the radar cursor! We uploaded your profile into the stick, as well as in the game. Under the avionics tab, what should we be using for cursor x and cursor y? In the game the ministick just moves his Mouse cursor which just seems silly to me. Any help would be great appreciated!

I updated the download with these images as well….let me know if you have any problems. Good Luck!

Fluke (sorry it took so long to reply). I just find it better to use a single key vs modifer and a key when make a new profile.
-
Thanks for the reply hard deck I will test it tonight. So it looks like the cursor is mapped via the saitek software programming instead of in-game?

Yes, when I built it, I started with direct mapping in-game, then once I reached the point where every button that could be mapped was, (which was almost all of mode 1), I went to the ST software to finish it up. That’s why at first glance, the profile appears to be unprogrammed in the ST software.

HD Thanks for the profile!!!
Having recently found BMS and getting an X52 pro, I sat down to program it last night and thought I’d check to see if it someone else had already done the hardwork and found your profile, which has saved hours of setting up time.
I had a few issues;
-
Dog fight overide mode didn’t work
-
Pickle button didn’t work
tracked these first two to the siatek profile which had them in mode1 set to “button do nothing”. I changed them both to “not programmed” and checked they were mapped correctly in the game and they now work fine. -
The TraclIR reseting function seemed to cause some odd effects
I don’t use trackIR but use facetracknoir instead, I changed your program for TrackIR reset to a simple F1 key press which I use to reset facetracknoir. This seems to have cured the issues I was having. By the way for anyone out there without trackIR I can recommend the facetracknoir (which is a free download) it works very well and all you need is a web cam. -
Despite checking the analogue range knob was set to the correct axis on the stick and seeing the knob moving in the controller avionics screen, it does not change the radar range within the game (I am assuming thats what it should do).
I still can’t get the analouge range knob to work, but note that you’ve mapped radar range up and down to one of the top hats, so I guess this a known issue, or does the analogue range knob have some other function that I haven’t learn’t yet?
Thanks again for all the effort you have put into this!

I have experienced this issue from time to time as well, and although I have no idea what causes it, the method you describe above is the correct way to fix it.

F1 and F2 were both left unpragrammed intentionally to avoid conflict with IVC functions, if you program anything else to either button, it is possible ou will experience “hot-mic” issues when using IVC. I’m guessing you already have…;-)

- The Range Knob, (rotary 1), is used for zooming in the TGP (targeting pod).
- If you want to change radar range, use Pinky+POV Up and Down.
- Pinky+Rotary 1 is for adjusting Sensor Gain, (A-G radar mode).
Thanks again for all the effort you have put into this!
Thank you as well!

I am posting this PM and response to Mark_rc2000 so that other people who may be experiencing the same difficulties can get a better idea how the profile works or at least see the progress towards a solution. Let me know if you find any other issues or have any more questions.
@Hard~Deck:
Hope this helps…let me know.
Good Luck!

Thanks for the reply.
I haven’t tried using the IVC yet so haven’t exprienced the f1 problem. FaceTracknoir allows you to change the reset hot key so I’ll find another unused key combination. The only other change I’ve made is to swap the TrackIR reset (FaceTracknoir in my case) with the MSL step functions and implemented the MSL step in the game using the HOTAS-MSL. It allows a long press to select the next weapon type which didn’t seem to work with the function set up in the saitek profile.
I will resolve this issue ASAP. (NWS/AR Disc /MSL Step function)
I notice that you don’t have any nav functions or the ability to select master modes. I was thinking about adding a few functions under mode2, is there any reason why you have not used mode2? Do you just use the keyboard or mouse click in the cockpit for these functions?
- The NumPad mimicks the ICP (Integrated Control Panel) NumPad 0-9 are mapped accordingly to the 0-9 buttons on the ICP.
- NumPad ***** is mapped to A-A Mastermode
- NumPad - is mapped to A-G Mastermode
- NumPad Del is the ICP LIST function
- The DCS (Data Command Switch) 4-way switch is mapped to the 4 arrow keys between the NumPad and the Main KeyPad on our keyboard.
- Page Up and Page Down cycles steerpoints.
Sorry, I have either not had the time or been too lazy to create a keyboard mapping image to include with the HOTAS mapping image on page 1. I will try to find the time to do so in the future. In the mean time. Load up Falcon and go to Setup/Controllers and go through and press each key on the keyboard to get a better understanding what is mapped.
Take Care.

I have corrected the programming issue for the NWS/AR Disc/MSL Step function.

Bit of a newbie at all this, and still trying to work my way around it - but I think the key file had “SimTMSDown 19 -1 -2 0 0x0 0” when it should have been “SimTMSUp 19 -1 -2 0 0x0 0”
I hope thats helpful to someone
