Advanced Shoot Profile
-
Just a thought - Heads up.
With the use of the callsign trick you must edit the shoot profile after you are assigned the mission so that you know your callsign.Good call Thanks.
Also have in mind that as the general rule here is “As Close to the Real Thing” this superb profile has almost all the keyb commands?
The lack of normal keyboards commands (as G for gear or B for airbrakes) is completely intentional. The only non-comms related commands are a few regarding padlock, that of course in the real thing you perform by simply moving your head.
Saying “gear” and having had the gear raised, would have feel like having a ghost-copilot in a single seater. Not nice.
Be aware that the ejection command will not eject you. it only simulates that you are comunicating an uncontrolled ejection to the AWACS. I think the command is Q9.
WOW that’s big and complicated… lol
thanx to your patiense…I know its big and since I did by adding a few commands at a time, it is terribly bad organized. I know its confusing, my apologies…
I realy think voice commands are a big factor for inmersion, and the more natural they can be done, the better.
I hope the comunity will enjoy it.
Arty thanks for extracting the commands ro thos code windows. I tried to do exactly that, but I couldn’t get it done.

HHHmmm another factor here having lots of different phrases for the same commands on one hand is nice if you can’t remeber the exact phrase. On the other hand you have to be totally silent in MP … Imagine a dialog “Dude I went for diving and I have to service my gear later on” Oh ohhhh Gear down… LOL

Hello jcenzano,
looks like a great profile but unfortunately I keep getting a load error when I try to load the profile into shoot 1.6.4.
–-------------------------
Error loading fileThere was an error at line 12223, position 21 while reading C:\Program Files (x86)\Shoot\profiles\BMS_432_chipi_V2.1 STD keyboard.xml
Full error message:The ‘device’ attribute has an invalid value according to its data type. An error occurred at file:///C:/Program Files (x86)/Shoot/profiles/BMS_432_chipi_V2.1 STD keyboard.xml, (12223, 21).
OK
I have loaded it into Shoot Profile Editor to map the PTT to my Warthog and saving back into the shoot profiles folder but still have the same error when trying to load the file into Shoot. Any ideas on how to get this to work would be greatly appreciated.
-
well that line seems to be ok as of syntax.
Did you edited the file first?
Maybe by accident you changed something that is causing the problem.
Try the file as is first. -
G’day Arty,
Just tried the file as is and it works. must be something in Shoot Profile Editor that is causing the error. Is there any way to modify the PTT buttons in the XML format to match the comms switch on the Warthog? Below is the original command list for the PTT,- <push-to-talk initial-state=“off”>-
and this is the modified version from Shoot Profile Editor that I am trying to change it to.
- <push-to-talk initial-state=“off”>-</push-to-talk></push-to-talk>
-
Just use shoot or use notepad, it works just fine.
-
Tried the edit with notepad and it works! Thanks for the advice.

Glad to be of service.

Well, shoot is one of the available programs (along with VAC and some others) that allows to transform voice commands into key strokes.
That means, that in BMs you dont have to memorize, not even press, the keys to issue commands to the AI or to interact with the AWACS, TWR or tanker.
You just need to know the available commands (i.e. AWACS request picture) and then, instead of typing “q 1” you just have to say to your microphone “Magic, request picture”. Shoot will type “q 1” into falcon for you.
The more complex the profile, the better, because it has more “phrases” you can say to issue an specific AI command.
For more info you can go to the shoot forums
Hope it helped.

u can also see at the wiki.

The best is in intense cases u are full HOTAS no need to go to the keyboard. And as in real you would speak to the awacs or your wingman u do the same. So commands like declare or clear my six or attack my target are done as u speak it. Surely some times the damn thing doesn’t understand u but shit happens.

Sometimes the damn AWACS does not understand you in RL either…
Shit happens too often

Hi!
I’ve been using Shoot for several years and can highly recommend it!
Regarding PPT you actually don’t have to assign keypresses. You can assing a joystick button directly as Coms-button. Hence you can assing diffenrent buttons for COM 1 and COM 2 (or what ever:)). Then you don’t have to mess around with modifying your keyfiles etc. I dont exactly remember the right lines, but it is descibed in details on the Shoot homepage.Best regards - and happy holidays.
ZoomOutAnd, last bust not least: Thanks to BMS for keeping this wonderfull sim so very much alive:)
