Very well done once again, dear Burak!
If you don’t mind, may I ask when would it be available for downloading?
And I too am available for testing it before, if you like it.With best regards.

Hello, Jackal.
I’m still working on it. I have to make some corrections in the cockpit and the exterior model. However, I only find time on weekends. I will share it as soon as possible.
-
Just brilliant. Love your work.
The canopy support seems to be of lesser definition. The rest of the pit makes it stand out. WIP ?

Sounds really good, dear mate.
If of any kind of help, please don’t hesitate to ask me. I’ll be glad to help you a little.
With best regards.

One more addition:
https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?35058-Small-addon-for-F-A-18C-D
Since we do not have moving map on third MFD, but we have JHMCS I have changed this “MAP GAIN” switch to HMD (like in DCS F/A-18C Hornet), like here:
Feel free to copy entire block of texture if you like.
I can share 2713.dds texture too.
-
Hello Sunrrrise.
I used your files. However, the 1st and 2nd MFD screens did not change. Only the 3rd MFD display changed to green.
My guess is that the 1st and 2nd MFD screens use default F-16 MFDs. Therefore, it has not changed. However, I do not know F-18 uses the avionics of the which F-16 model.
If someone who knows which F-16 model’s avionic it is, I can make it green by adjusting it from “Avionics Configurator”.
Best regards.

Hi,
it’s not like that. Both real MFDs (1# and 2#) use fonts color definitions (I don’t remember the file name, but I will find it!). Third, center MFD is just a specially prepared TACAN and use textures.I will check it ASAP and provide you the color of the MFDs to be set.
Found it, probably:
in <your bms=“” 4.34=“” installation=“” directory=“”>\Data\Sim\Acdata\f18c.dat file:
there is a line:
avionicsColorMfd 1
Change it to:
avionicsColorMfd 0
Voila!</your>

Thank you very much sunrrrise.
Here is the result :clap2:

I like it much better now:)
Now we have to find how to restore those missing needles.

Regarding canopy… since it’s quite big element of the cockpit, but it has very small place on texture file you can do two things:
- make it less detailed, cause the details are stretched and it does not looking good…
or
- you can convert the texture from the original size of 2048x2048 to 4096x4096 pixels. The texture file will be big (16mb), but BMS accepts that (just tested it and it works) and you will quadruple space available for the details
-
Great job

Even 8192x8192 are good to go
I have been using and work just fine
Keep up the good work

On Sunday night, I found the possibility of working a little more on the cockpit. New MFDs… Current status of cockpit:
-
Looks nice, but have you turned brightness down on both MFDs? The contrast is too low.
There will be quite a lot of work to align console lighting…
-
The MFD’s default contrast level is too high. I turned brightness down using the adjustment knob on the MFD. Because, I think the low contrast is more realistic. But, Pilots can adjust the contrast level on the MFD, depending on their wishes.
-
I would say they are very bright:

I did it and now both main MFDs show green, but the center MFD remains white, so unchanged

@soldano,
if you like I can share my edited textures and you will have more Hornet-like Hornet
