Aegean Theatre - IAP charts
-
If the Agean theater has an approach for each airbase in the same clear and easy to read style, i will enjoy flying in BMS even more, very usefull for me. I only run FSX for NDB Holds and approaches.
spooky.
Hi my friend .
Thank you for your kindly comments .
Until now , IAP charts that are ready , are for : Larisa , Nea Anchialos , Tanagra and Souda for Greece . And Balikesir for Turkey .
Now i’m working an ILS approach for Konya airbase in Turkey . Then are scheduled Akinci and Bandirma airbases in Turkey .
These 8 airbases are the first part . Next we will see , maybe we will ask the members that use the Aegean theater to vote for 1 or 2 airports that want an IAP chart .
So stay in touch my friend .

This all sounds very promising, this makes it all more real :), this was one the main cause why i only flew on the korean theater, i will keep in touch for sure
spooky

All right!! 0 problems
Well I lie, only two “foolishness”…
Please, change from chart (Picture) the VHF frequency because it´s 122.15 and not 122.10
It´s me or the ATC change me the runway if I ignore her? It´s amazing
Thanks!

Hi my friend .
I’m glad with the fact that you like the Aegean theater , more and more . And yes , all the above i said are true , you will see .
For now you already have the Nea Anchialos IAP , try it with fog , it’s very nice challenge .
With my regards .

Well this is a misunderstanding by you .At the first post i said between others :
“Now keep in mind that some data of the chart are different inside the sim , due to fact that the NavAids are updated , but are not ready yet to be public (for a number of reasons) , so these data are for use with the IAP chart and the included NavAids :
NEA ANCHIALOS AirBase (LGBL) :
TACAN CHANNEL: 103X
TACAN RANGE (N.M.): 100
ILS LOC FREQUENCY (RUNWAY): 110.90 (26)
TOWER UHF / VHF FREQUENCIES: 257.85 / 122.15
All the other data (e.g. Final course – TACAN GPS – Rwy ldg – TDZE etc.) are correct at the IAP chart .”Because of the fact that the NavAids of Aegean theater updated and are almost ready , the IAP chart of Nea Anchialos is made according with them . Also the default UHF/VHF frequencies 257.80 / 122.10 have conflicts , so in order to can the falcon pilots communicate with the tower without conflicts , i made the temporary “station+ils.dat” and gave it with the chart to you .
The data in the IAP chart of Nea Anchialos are fine and work perfect without issues with the new NavAids .
So i think to clarify it now my friend .
About the procedure , was o.k. ?
With my regards .

Hello, neystratiou.
This just to let know to you - and all the other members of this Forum - that your charts work fine and precise, so much appreciated in bad weather conditions of course. And most amazing of all, as your usual they work not in BMS only…
Well done, my friend, and keep on the good job!
With my best regards,
Gianni.

I’m pleased with the fact that you enjoy the IAP chart of Nea Anchialos (of Aegean theater) .
Until now there are ready also the IAP charts for : Larisa , Tanagra , Souda and Balikesir . Now i’m working an ILS approach chart for Konya .
So the good work goes on .
Stay in touch my friend .

I flew the approach in fog …. it works just fine
It’s not really a challenge to me, but it is real fun to shoot the approach and do a landing in the fog
Spooky.

OT: This must be the most polite thread in bms

I had forgotten it. Landing with bad weather and crossed wind. How you can see I go high, I was not relying too much of the instruments

Spooky.Hi my friend .
It makes me happy that my chart really helps falcon pilots to land with bad weather .

Hi mate .
As i can see from the above photo , a little high and following an ILS approach .
If you want , next time try the TACAN approach , as it is in the chart .
It’s much more challenging .
With my regards .

Actually, i think that IFR flying is much more safer …. it brings you on the right altitude at the right speed and you land at the right approach angle … it is safe :).
Keep up the very good work.
Spooky.

Spooky.Hi my friend .
You are right about that IFR flying is much more safer . And TACAN approach is a non-precision instrument approach and execute it with IFR .
See you mate .

And an approach by me with these weather conditions :
Weather: Inclement
Wind: Deterministic 350 Deg. (90 deg. crosswind to RWY 26)
Max. Speed 5 Kt
Wind Burst 8 Kt Direction 20 Deg.
Fog: Start 0 Ft End 5,000 Ft .
Well even with the above weather values , the IAP chart guide me right to RWY 26 threshold . The key is to be precise on localizer at final turn , means at ANL R-090/2.5 DME .
With my regards .
