Is there a way to set a button on my HOTAS as a modifier?
-
Currently using the T16.000M + TWCS Throttle. Not enough buttons and/or axis/sliders to map everything I want to.
Is there a way? Cause I couldn’t find a way to do it in-game. And Honestly, I don’t want to use my keyboard for virtually anything.

The TARGET software will allow you to do about anything. Inside BMS inside there is a callback “SimHOTASPinkyShift”(check exact spelling, they’re case sensitive) that acts as a modifier button. A short press does the normal pinky function on the stick while holding shifts all button numbers up 256 in value so they are effectively different buttons.

I see. I’m gonna take a look at that. Thanks!

Do you mean inside BMS or on it’s folder? Cause inside the sim, the only thing I found inside the game was something called “SIM: Key Combination Keys (KeyCombo).”

It is easier to use reprogramming SW. Comparing to that the in game options and the Excel table is method is way, way too hard and knows much, much less.
You can even define for sliders 0-33, 33-66 and 66-100 zone and use the slider as a 3 position switch. -

Depending on your. Key file you may not have this control in your list. Please check the BMS technical pdf in the docs folder for a detailed description.

I use xpadder.

Bumping this thread as I have the same HOTAS and question as OP. Would like to know if he ever found a solution to this outside of the target software (not a fan, very not user friendly)

Why not install the alternative launcher and setup a pinkyshift (basically a shift key) makes it very easy.
The only thing you can’t do is shift the pov hat on the throttle unless you use another means.
For example, this is my t16000 profile;
