Guys, two F-15s at the holding point of rwy 36 in Kunsan Airbase were authorized to position and hold on runway36 right after i was cleared to land…Livestream link:

You have been told to execute missapproched before landing though
Beside the new FAROS has been activated(watch PAPI flashing !!! Indicating runway unsafe) , so yeah tower as done an mistake (tower dis estimate your we’re not so close ) but as corrected it by instruct you to abort and FAROS activation
This is then your mistake to have continued landing despite receiving two messages to abort

Ok. Dispite my mistake, i don’t think it’s something correct to authorize position and hold on the rwy when there is an aircraft on short final, but i understand the limitations. Probably i was on a short landing pattern and the code isn’t yet able to deal with it.Thanks!!!

the ATC code is ran every 5 seconds, the clearance to land and the clearance to position and hold have been done in the same calculation frame.
Besides you were in MP so you can add the lag of MP messages back and forth to you…
so basically , the ATC made a mistake
as in real they can make mistake
what is important is that the ATC has seen its mistake and has corrected it by engaging FAROS system and call to abort.
you didnt abide , you go to court martial, not the ATC controler

Might depends where you are in the world… I can confirm that at my local international airport (not a fast jet base) that it’s routine for an aircraft to be given “turn right heading 270, climb 3000ft, requirement to turn before the threshold” and then followed by “QFA2, RWY03 line up”
