what about PLA air power?
you can add some J-8 II and JH-7.
I will consider but when PRC enters to campaign…
DPRK does not need them. -
Can’t wait to fly the F-20 in combat!

It will be possible it is in the DB but you have to add with Mission commander. It is very easy only some clicks are needed.
Some things are planned which has not been added.
JP-233 for Tornado. It will be similar what I have done previously. The container as rack and small bomblets.
AIM-9L. Many air forces did not get AIM-9M until end of the Cold War therefore a weaker variant is needed. In fact even AIM-9S would be good which is a downgraded variant of the AIM-9M without the advanced (in that time) IRCCM.
-
since you activate JP-233, how about KMGU for red side?

JP-233 has bomblets. This means the big container is a rack and bombs inside are invisible. It drops essentially smaller BLU-107 Durandals.
KMGU can have different loadouts which I do not know. In this case somehow lots of mini CBU (?) should be set somehow with smaller kill radius and it would mean lots of smaller bomblets. I guess there is a certain weapon limit / hardpoint.
I can guess the huge FPS drop if you allow this. What about the AI? Will be able to use them?Maybe it can be done if the KMGU container is in the DB. I guess.
-
the model is in DB, KMGU-2. i made it long time ago. the item should be edited as “rack”, not bomb.
it can be set like JP233 and use its bomblets. not sure if AI can use it.BTW KGMU is a cool toy in falcon 3.0 - mig-29 addon.
edit - in current DB, KMGU is set as CBU type weapon, and used by mig-29M.

News. Will be KMGU, JP-233 and AIM-9L besides the current AIM-9M.

According to Mission Editor most of objectives cannot have SAM because lack of “slots”. Also cannot be put static SAMs open ground according by the ME.
Will they function if I add them? -
Ok, I have now a very WIP campaign.
*I modified the OOB of SAMs and sq. to get a more '80s campaign. It is not as polished (role scores and many other things are not changed or tested) as was the 4.32 MOD but I guess it is flyable.
*The AIM-9L won’t be different it needs a bit work but for the the Rolling Fire this is not an issue. For the NATO vs USSR campaign is important the AIM-9L.
*Three different F-16 variant will be available in 1989 Rolling Fire
*For testing the US CVN BG is active from 0 as well as an EF-111A Raven sq. I guess blue side maybe be a bit OP.
*There is no other SEAD than US Navy. Not even F-4G as reinf. If the community accept the MOD in current state I can release tomorrow for testing.

If you might like it, I volunteer to do that gladly.
With best regards.

I just plan to add one more thing which should be tested and I can release it +the AIM-9L will be different from AIM-9M.
-
Thanks, Molni, just can’t await.
With best regards.
-
Hopefully I can release today or tomorrow. I underline this is just a very VIP. I’m curious either what will do the red side using different role scores and squadrons. The goal that even using old(er) planes SEAD mission should be fly by red side.
-
I tried to make new SAM sites with SAMs to have a real SAM network on red side but test did not go well. They simply did not work.
Without these the red side would remain a bit impotent…Is there anybody who can help me to build a SAM line along the DMZ?
As long as I do not have a usable SAM layer I do not wish to release the MOD not even in WIP state.EDIT:
Maybe I could solve the issues. -
Ok, I achieved some progess. The AD of DPRK won’t be worse but maybe will better.
I campaign comparing to a TE SAMs somehow randomly engage targets and at much smaller distance than in a TE.
I checked the eng. envelope data in dat files for missiles and they are much bigger than AI ever utilized me in camp.I make some fixes and minor adjustments and beta hopefully can be released Sunday. At least good '80s dogfight and no PGM world is achievable. I also saw red planes attacking GUs.

Just can’t await, dear Molni.

Stay tuned.
Some comments about the incoming release.
- Only the Rolling Fire campaign is modified this should be tested.
- The campaign uses a fictional 1989 OOB.
- I added some T-72 battalions as “elite first line” unit for the DPRK. In reality DPRK never had them as well as the SA-13 but I felt the camp needs them. I can live with such fictional setup. I never wanted 100% historical accuracy.
- I turned some towed arty unit into T-62 or T-72 battalion to give more offensive power to DRPK. According to feedback maybe more power should be given the DRPK. I do wish to see not a “clown” opponent. This is true for both air power and ground power.
- SAMs are re-balanced on both sides. I deleted many RoK and US SAMs because they are simply too numerous especially the Patriot battalions. Only two of them now are in the game, they defending the most important US airfields.
- DPRK got a new SAM line along the east side of the DMZ. I consider to delete some DPRK SAMs to keep the qty. balance of the SAMs at last on some level. But in RL the whole DMZ is protected. Targets farther from the DMZ it may will loose in later release their SAMs.
- I added a single SA-5 battalion either on east side. In fact SA-5s should be in pairs on a different site which I do not have. Maybe one day, who knows.
https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?38469-Authentic-SA-5-site - I did not fix any possible loadout error of any planes. I simply deleted the PGM where it was needed and I added the older AIM-9s. For ex. the loadout of F-4s maybe needs adjustments.
- Some red jets got RBK bomb to have more power in CAS. If a plane can carry FAB it can carry RBK either.
- Role scores are WIP, I did not tested them beyond some campaign launch. The goal was force the red side to fly SEAD missiles even with older planes. Power can be also in numbers not only in quality.
- The DPRK AF is stronger than was in RL. There are more MiG-29s as would in RL and because lack of MiG-21MF the bis ha to used. Comparing to stock campaign of BMS4 DPRK has much less advanced planes. If feedback suggest are too many I can cut more. 1xMiG-29 –-> 1xMiG-23, 1xMiG-23 —> MiG-21bis or more old strike planes such as J-5/MiG-17.
- US carrier and EF-111A is available from 0 hour to see their functionality.
- I did not touch the PRC and Russian/Soviet units.
- Because of balance reasons I did not added B-52s.
- KMGU is available for MiG-29A for testing and the JP-233 for UK Tornado GR.1.
- F-5A are available with and without wingtip fuel tank.
- F-5s are limited to wingtip AIM-9s. I did not find any loadout data which would suggest AIM-9 capability on other hardpoints.
- Helos are not changed on any sides except I deleted the RoK AH-64.

Beta 1 is under upload.
