Weapon Delivery Planner released

HMMMMMmmmm huge problem here… I load my data card from network. In map I see the waypoints. In DTC STPT I see them also. But in data card I don’t see anything… I know my package number but where do I choose it? or declare it? Read the manual it says it will ask u to choose… well it doesn’t.
Also (Please have in mind that I thing that this program is great and should be included in BMS itself) I believe that the whole UI is a bit way way to confusing for a newbie and an old fart dino like me.
To tell u what I mean… I don’t have the feeling of security that I did everything right (not the planning but saving files over) or if I do this will I loose my already done settings?I have seen that you already found your problem, but let me explain some more.
First of all, WDP will not be included in BMS itself. Keeping it outside of the Falcon gives a lot more advantages that including it. (Not only on the user sided)That WDP has some complexity, is because the material you are working with (flying an F-16) is complex But beside that, BMS the DTC set up that is used multiple files combined and also there is the thing about: in memory or in the file.
All making things complex and WDP has to deal with that. I could make WDP simpler, but than you would not be able to do anything anymoreAbout saving and keeping track if you have saved or not…
Have you seen the red and green lights all over the program? Guess what they indicateGr Falcas

I fly Campaign…
Hmmm just found out I have to point to the network and load my last saved mission. Mision day 1 15 blabla is that correct or I should open something else?Ok I see the default waypoints I don’t see the targets I saved to DTC. WP 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17
If you are using a network connection, you should go to the DTC MAIN tab, and check if your Falcon location is pointing to your install where you actually fly with.
So the one on the other computer.
Also the TDF location and Callsign, ini should point to location on the other computer. If you close WDP, these locations will be stored for the next time.
If you don’t have the network connection when you start WDP, it will not find the BMS installation over the network.Gr Falcas

Yea I have done them already… (Found out and checked that the paths where right) I also have a falcon install in the pc I run WDP but with no callsign and no campaign.
this is what I had before I hit fly and than hit save DTC from WDP.Hhhhhmmmm I see a red light there…

Ok, You are doing more than you need and that makes thing complicated.
But before that I like to point out that there still is a little bug there concerning the names of the ini, so bare with me on that part.To start of, you are working with Campaign missions, not TE? Correct?
If so, totaly ignore the mission.ini files as they are only for the TEs.
The Campaign only uses your Callsign.ini.A couple of rules you must be aware of using the DTC. If you are in BMS and save a DTC for a flight, let call this flight Viper1.
If you then go and fly with another flight, lets say Cowboy2, and you load the DTC while in the jet… guess what happens…
You end up with the flightplan of Viper1.
Also make sure that you have all the STPT set and then save the DTC in BMS, if you create new STPTs or change there location and forget to save the DTC again, you don’t have these changements after you load the DTC in the jet. After you have loaded your campaign mission and selected your flight, set your Pop-up as you want (if you want to use it).
Then return to the Datacard and see if the values are on the datacard. If not, just click on the lable “Attack Type” on the Datacard and you will get the selection buttons to select the Pop-Up.
If you are done, click the “Save DTC” button. Make sure WDP will give you a message that your Callsign.ini has been saved and that the red light next to the “Callsign.ini saved” (On the Datacard) becomes green. And you are done.Notice that there is totaly no need to go to the DTC part as long if you don’t need to change any specific there.
Also, every change that you make on the Datacard and that item is in the Callsign.ini, it will be changed as soon as you save the DTC.
For example: the ALOW setting on the Datacard, is in the Callsign.ini. Make a change on the Datacard and you will notice that the light next to the “Callsign.ini saved” will become red to indicated that you made a changement and this has not been saved yet.Gr Falcas

So I do everything in falcon and only the popup in your program…
Also IIRC If I don’t load the mission.ini file my datacard remains empty. -
So I do everything in falcon and only the popup in your program…
You can place the lines and PPTs very nicely with WDP, have you tried the Auto PPT function in WDP? You can find it on the MAP in WDP.
Also IIRC If I don’t load the mission.ini file my datacard remains empty.
Which mission.ini file do you want to load if you are flying a Campaign? If you find a mission.ini that has the same name as your Campaign, that is the little bug that I was refering to before. WDP saves that as you save the DTC.
You have saved your campaign, this will create a xxx.cam file. (xxx being the name that you saved it with)
In WDP go to the Datacard and load this xxx.cam file. That is all you need to do.
Selecting the correct flight and your Datacard is being made, including the Flightplan.
Saving the DTC will update your callsign.ini.I get the feeling that you are just loading and saving the DTC via the DTC tab, that is possible, but that is doing it the hard way.
That also makes it clear why you think it is so complex
Just load the mission with the “Open Mission” button on the Datacard, do the things you want/need to do in WDP and when you are done, save the DTC.Gr Falcas
Edit…
WDP will automatically load your DTC files as needed.

Ok now u lost me more. The problem is that DTC is everywhere… this is why in conjuction with the manual I said it’s confusing.
Save the DTC from where? Your program or from the Falcon UI?
If I save it from your Program should I load it after from the Falcon UI, I don’t think so cause whatever we save the DTC when Falcon loads the mission (4pies).
Also whatever we do we have to load DTE from the MFD’s when in cockpit? Else nothing will show up?
Yea I tried the Auto PPT - MAP but the threads shown where far far far away from my flight path and the ones I chose didn’t show up I had to make a choice… can’t recall now mission or callsign.ini

Here are the steps you should do.
- Start BMS and go to your campaign mission, note the package number of the flight you want to fly.
- Start WDP and click on the “Open Mission” button, you can find it on the Datacard.
- Select the saved campaign file (xxx.cam). You will get a selection screen where you see all the packages.
- Find the package of your flight and open it with the “+”, click on the flight you are going to fly.
- Do the things you want/need to do in WDP. When done go to the Datacard Tab.
- In BMS click “TakeOff” to go to the 3D world.
- While BMS is loading, go to WDP and on the Datacard tab in WDP click on “Save DTC”
Done.
Also whatever we do we have to load DTE from the MFD’s when in cockpit? Else nothing will show up?
If you don’t know this I strongly advice you to read the BMS manual and learn how the DTC works.

Well that was exactly what I did with the shots above…
Now I just restarted and I am at the same situation. Loaded all the above… all fine. BUT.
I have a sead mission and some SA-2 to take down. Ok the harms but I have and some CBU-87 CEM to drop and I want to do the popup trick…
In Falcon GUI I designated my targets as STPT 10 11 12 13 14. I set 0 as my Kimpo airbase in the comms of the DTC and hit save…
Than fired up WDP loaded mission file all fine… Now when I go to the PopUp in WDP I select Campaign and advance to STPT 10. In the Reference knob the VIP goes red and says blocked. Ok Go VRP than… But at the matrix above that with the coordinates … the coordinates are empty…
So I can do that only with the mission waypoints only?
And if so than I select Save to DTC from the Turn Data Panel area???Edit. just went to DTC (u see it’s a bit confusing to communicate for the program DTC is everywhere) than I selected STPT and I only see the mision waypoints I don’t see the target stpts I designated. In the preplaned threads I see the threads I designated.
Also in Radio/Nav I don’t see the 0 preset… how does it deal with it?
Edit 2: Don’t know what happend but my comms are totaly fubared… and I don’t have a damn backup… When I load DTE I loose the comms settings… and without the use of WDP.

First about the Radio stuff, it is very strongly adviced NOT to save any tower frequencies on your preset. This will mess up your comm list and it is the number one problem when people can’t talk to each other. Just input the correct radio frequency via the ICP/DED.
Preset 0 also does not excists in the DTC and the F-16 cockpit. This is incorrect in the BMS DTC UI.To fix your radios, in WDP go to the DTC->Radio/nav tab. At the bottom you will find the “Quick Settings”, press the “Default” button and then the “Save DTC” button on the same page.
You are saying that you are designating STPT 10, 11, 12 ect. What do you mean with that?

Thanx for the coms…
What I mean is in nav point 5 (strike) on the map in falcon GUI I hit right click than recon… than select target from the list down (For example sa-2) advance stpt to 10 (free stpt) assign target and accept… than advance stpt to 11 assign target accept and so on and so forth…
The ones that show up in the falcon GUI DTC when u select targets tab.

Wow and you say WDP is complex, what you are doing is so complex that you can’t do that with WDP.
As it is critical to have the correct flight and DTC together, WDP uses the flightplan of the saved campaign file and overwrites those in the DTC.
This is a protection so you have the correct STPT.
Why don’t you just add the STPT between your last target and Landing airport? This is a lot easier and will work fine with WDP.
This also has the advantage that your complete flightplan is calculated and you know how much fuel you would need for the flight. For those who don’t know how:
In BMS you will find a solid square between 2 STPTs. With the mouse and the left button you can drag this square and you have a new STPT.I’ll have a look if I can make WDP force to use the DTC values if that is disired. But this is very tricky.

Ok
LOL big time reloaded the mission this time I just loaded from WDP but no save at all… when I reached WP5 guess what… OA VIP symbology was there in the HUD… and couldn’t change to other ground mode…
Hell I should do the dance…
M8 this is why I told u this superb program should be in the BMS it’s self and have Campaigns and all…
As I see it it’s a no go for Campaign guys…
Unless it’s just me. Anyone else had success in campaign?
Am I the only with those bazaar things?Edit: Sorry for forgetting this. Really thanx for that almost online help and support. It was great. Hats off…

Arty, I use WDP for every multiplayer and singleplayer campaign flight I do (78 missions in BMS 4.32 thus far) and i’ve never once had issues like you’re having. I hate to say it but it may be a case of PIBCAK?!
To get the benefits of WDP, do all the stuff you normally do in the BMS UI, go through to the cockpit, alt-tab to WDP and open your campaign file and package no - then click Save DTC and Save Datacard when you’re done. Then tab back into the cockpit and remember to re-load your DTE. Done.
-
As you can see Arty, it is not only me, but also a lot of other people that use WDP without problems during campaign.
Gr Falcas
-
PIBCAK?! .
what is that didn’t got it.
So u say not to save from wdp when mission is loading, but load the mission go to 3d pit than (no need for alt tab for me I run wdp from my NB) change what I want than press save to DTC than load dte from mfd and I’m ready to go? In the meanwhile I should pause the sim.
Thanx m8 I will try it, but that cancels the loading mission trick I believe ppl should know. -
Problem Is Between Chair And Keyboard.
No need to pause the sim. Just reload the DTE once in the cockpit.
-

So the problem is me… nice…
If I don’t pause the sim while I will do the changes the clock will advance and I will loose my takeoff time and all the rest Waypoint timings… So where is the problem now? Read first.

Arty, you are making this more difficult for yourself than it needs to be.
1. Edit the mission in the BMS UI as you like.
2. Save the campaign - and the DTC if you have added target steerpoints.
3. Go to the WDP and do all the configuration that you would like in there. Save if you wish at this point.
4. Go back to the BMS UI and click on “fly”.
5. Once in the cockpit, go to the WDP and save.
6. Back to the cockpit, as part of your ramp start you load the DTC into the DTE on one of the MFDs.Job done, sit back, light a cigar? read a girly mag?, scratch your nuts, whatever, wait for taxi time, takeoff, get shot down by SAMs and wonder WTF did I spend all that time planning the mission.
Simples?
You can even modify the DTC in the WDP and reload the DTC whilst in flight - I think.
-
I hate to be that guy but I cannot figure this out.
I’m flying an offline campaign in stock Korea. I saved the campaign, exited out, went to WDP. I load my saved campaign in WDP, navigate to my package/flight.
I save the DTC and I get a green light where it says callsign.ini. I also save the datacard and get a datacard.bdc.
When I re-enter the campaign in BMS, I cannot figure out how to “load” the datacard I created in WDP. I can’t find a “callsign.ini” in my SAVE folder- either as Toonces.ini, callsign.ini, or Fury1.ini (my flight callsign). I tried loading the DTC in the planning screen in BMS, as well as from the MFD while sitting on the taxiway.
I’m sure this is user error, but I can’t figure out what I’m missing. Should WDP be installed in my root BMS installation? Should I be saving my WDP-created data somewhere else, and if so, how do I point WDP to that folder?
Thanks,
Toonces
