Rudder/steering control on ground
-
I have Morphines profile enabled, and am using the Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog. I also have rudder pedals hooked up. When in the Ground Ops training mission, if I start on the taxiway or runway, I can steer the jet with my rudder pedals, and stop with the toebrakes. However, if I do the ramp start, and then try to taxi out from my stand, my rudder pedals do not steer the aircraft. Looking from the outside view, they are moving the rudder, but they do not steer the aircraft. What am I missing? I am just getting started, so am a complete newbie!

SHIFT and / (next to right SHIFT key) to enable Nose Wheel Steering (NWS)
It’s been a while!

Top right on the back of your stick is the NWS / MSL STEP button that will activate your nose wheel steering and do some other things when airborne, depending which mode you’re in. I don’t know Morphine’s profile, but I’m 99% certain that should already be in there by default.

That was it, the nosewheel steering. Got her started, taxied to runway and took off. All good, so far. So much to learn! That is what makes this fun and challenging.

what could you use if no rudder pedals, keyboard wise, what would mapping the TMW free up?
many thanks.
John.

First, enable NWS with Shift / (as mentioned above), then comma and period are the default keyboard rudder commands.
