I assume that copying the stock DB files in objects folder and making the adjustments in the .tdf file will work right? or whatever someone needs it can be copied without a problem to the theater foder right? -
Right.
To further develop it, you would just drop in the dB and adjust tdf. -

U can always download the Highpoly ones they are free to download as for C starrats had e version in original Nam db…. Low poly Phantoms are probably be in .35 so after the release of it i can share some skins or whatever, till then sorry but i cant

Hey Manos, just FYI: the gun-pod .lod is reversed, loads on HP backwards. Pic in MiG-17 thread… Tried to rotate it myself, but becomes corrupted when saved.

Yeap just checked… but where did u get the skin? I got FG tailcode and FP as afar as i remember inside
EDIT: Ok sorry i just saw the whole message in the other thread…
EDIT2 : Its just a matter of normal shading for some reason. if you hit calculate normals it fixes it. But thanks for the heads up i fixed it and re-uploading now

Some one has to really get deep into this gem of a theater. It needs some love specially in Objectives,Links and other stuff regarding the ground movement. Theres a lot of issues. I know its just a beta but come on people lets do it all together we can achieve something i guess
Im trying some stuff by doing a “modernized” campaign give that this version has the stock KTO db and i run ito serious issues with objectives. Probably some of the tiles need re-work or re-placinng cause the links are there and if the unit is “forced” to go by human control it will.
Starrats is nowhere to be found to continue here i hope he’s ok at least and nothing bad happened to him. So lets gather guys and make this theater better and viable :).
I really have no knowledge of Terrain Editor and how to fix things if i had i would.Cheers

Im trying to do what ever i know to make a good “modernized” campaign for it but the linking betwwen objectives is broken, i did edited and fixed few of them (not really have the patience to do more) and somehow the units move towards the asigned objective without being human controlled. Therefore there are links between objectives that units get stuck in the middle (probably “path” problem?) not knowing where they wanna go. Tried everything but as soon as the engine tells them to go there its finished. I even tried to fix the paths my self still the same issue… I tried auto linking the objects then the things get worst units tend to go away from the Flot reather fighting and still the problem stuck in the middle exists… Ill thank Dado for the conversation we had in discorg to help me out fixing some stuff with the theater with terrain editor
Please all you theater gurus give us some of your knowledge or give this theater some love please! Even how it is lite with stock KTO db…Cheers

what’s wrong with this mod? i use TE builder to test road network, place several tank battalions, order them to move/check road networks at 64x time compression.
my test shows GUs can move freely in Vietnam - from mid portion to Honei area.

I send you all the editions of the saves for .cam files i tried you will laugh! I try to do whatever i can no go… Batts/Brigs. If they gonna move (stock linking between objectives) they gonna run back to whatever city/village they will find defensive even when the game says “major offensive”. There is places that they stuck as i said above in a back forth movement between 2 objectives in the middle of the link. If i do edit the links, remove/add objectives they do move but they will stuck somewhere in the way as said. Its not by chance that the original save0 has some of them “human controlled” even in the original if i remove the “human controlled” thingy they will either stay there or flee back to safety… This happens to both not to say all around the theater. Ill try once more to the original unedited objective layout of the original save. And im talking about making a campaign not a TE through the editor of the game ccc. And you say order them u mean human controlled? That way they work… no problem

well i just say use TE to test road network system.
As for GU not moving to capture obj, I’ve noticed and reported that bug long time ago… they just won’t cross some point near Da Nang, maybe more. I’ve tried to tweak bridges/link values long time ago. no success.

Unedited links seems to work better till now at least. still the units wont engage though. they run backwards. Only when battali0ons are either user controlled or if they are not parent must be off.<–- that means as soon as they reach destination they lock there. witch is worst than user controlled. Ill see the relations again meybe its too many teams active? i dont know. I also saw that in many tiles paths are non existent or bad placed i corrected this as well or some river tiles with a road and no bridge… DOes the strings of each theater makes any difference? cause i edited only the namesso it doesnt write the KTO teams. Ill check that also.

So it seems paths on the terrain tiling are broken. Thats why the movement is difficult or not doable. I fixed some of that but still struggling to fix the backwards movement of the G.U. and not engaging eachother
