Cougar microstick setup. What am I missing
-
Hi guys.
I recently upgraded my cougar to VFS. Now I’m setting up the TQS but I can’t get the microstick cursor assigned in Advanced Options in BMS 4.34 to Right Toebrake. Right Toebrake and Cursor X are not seeing Thrustmaster Cougar in the drop down menu. I have followed the sequence from Dunc_DX.
1. CCP Setting - Axis mapping configuration of all HOTAS Axes and verified their range in Advanced Options in BMS
2. Cougar profile files: Cougar_DX.tmm and Cougar_DX.tmj loaded via Foxy
3. BMS.cfg settings:
Set the value for set g_bHotasDgftSelfCancel to 1
4. Key file: BMS-BasicDX TM Cougar.key placed in …/User/Config folderWhat am I missing? I just can’t seem to get the Advanced Options to see the Thrustmaster Cougar in Right Toebrake or Cursor X.

You should be able to select it via the drop down for those areas. Have you tried that? I just converted my TQS over to standalone USB and I am working some bugs out of it. I would recommend making your micro stick 6 and 7 in the ccp. Do you have any issues when you go to calibrate it?

Is your microstick registering in your cougar viewer? I think you need to tick apply enable/disable Windows axes states in the CCP axis setup.

Arcadia you the man ! I had been banging my head against this for the last two days.
Jumpstart thanks for your input. I’ve played with the HOTAS Axes settings on 6 and 7 and have a better understanding. Appreciate your help.
Thank you gentlemen.
