Assigning RTY4 to TGP zoom
-
HI all,
I don’t use any DX mapping, and just assign each button in the controller section of BMS.
I used to have RTY4 mapped to the TGP page so I could zoom in to 4.0X, but that somehow got dropped… Any suggestion oh how to re-map it?
Thx!

Look under “Setup” –-> “Advanced” —> “Avionics Controls”
Here you can define everything that runs as axis.
Look for “Range knob” -
Thanks Amadeus,
I normally have RTY 3 mapped to my altimeter and 4 to the Range Knob, but for some reason I only see one RTY dial as an option in the dropdown menu. I moved it from ALT to Range. Any idea where the other RTY option might be?

Sorry, I cannot open your attachment (it reads ‘invalid’)…
But, are you sure that your joystick is sending the correct information?
Maybe your joystick driver gave up?
Make sure (in the windows preferences) that your stick is working properly.
If your stick is only sending one rotary, Falcon BMS will not recognize any others. -
Thanks Amedeus.
I reattached the image. I launched the x56 software and it recognizes both RTY 3 and TRY4

I found this line in a different forum:
Got it working by using the saitek programming software to change the knobs’ function to ‘axis’The thread is here:
