For a few days having issues downloading weather again through F4Wx. Did they change something again?
Getting a ‘cannot download file index’ error.
Hope it’s temporary, any others having this issue?Cheers Obi1

Hallo Guys
Got question. Is possible to download maps for BMS 4.33 u3?I dont want upgrade for now because i have not too strong PC,and i spend a lot of time configuring my install to work perfectly.
I have old F4Wx-1.0b39,and it throw error when i try download maps.
Thank you -
Sorry Els, if the last 4.33 build is not working I’m afraid there is not much I can do as all the new versions are built for 4.34 only. I suggest you consider updating to BMS 4.34 as it has tons of improvements over 4.33!

Thank you Ahmed.Bms 4.34 u4 installed.Fps are relly good,so i stey in this relese for now.Thought it be huge performance hit,but is all well.

Since 2 days I am getting this ‘unable to download file index’ error again.
This happened also in the past and without update it worked again, so I guess we just have to wait until it works again.
-
Here same. Unable to download weather files…
-
Make that 3! It’s been a couple days now since I’ve been able to download weather. Standing by (patiently) for the link to be reestablished. :thumb:

Hey all,
Unfortunately this seems to be another NOAA server issue. F4Wx relies on their grib filter api to download the relevant portions of the data (and not the huge whole files), and it seems to be down at the moment.
I’ll keep an eye on this.

There are other servers available of different weather organisatons.
You might improve your tool by giving the possibility to choose the model /servers ?
-
Yep if somebody can point me towards another weather data provider that offers similar capabilities I can integrate different providers into F4Wx
-
In the meantime, I reported the issue to NOAA and just got a response from them that they had some unexpected issues after their datacenter maintenance done on 22/10 and they are working on resolving them, but that they will need some time given the complexity of the issues. They confirmed that the grib filter is one of the affected services so far.

Seems to work again, but rather slowly still

I’m about to download this tool but I’m in an interesting situation, I have no internet hookup to my PC but I can download to my tablet when I get wifi in town and move anything to my computer.
Can I make this took work without internet on the PC falcon is installed on? Can I download a weather file and put it on my computer and still fly through a day or two of forecasts?

Yes you can, I do use it like this myself. Just download the files and copy them to your Falcon PC
