View issues: Default 3D now extremely close to HUD, 3D not retaining position
-
Some other issue with 4.35:
When entering 3D cockpit, the default view is now so close to the HUD that it is unusable.
I know most people will have tracking enabled so won’t even notice this.
But for people that haven’t it is annoying as you need to grab your mouse and adjust the view before anything else. Minor issue for sure, but it was fine in 4.34 so no reason it can’t be adjusted back. Also, something that has already been around in 4.34:
When you switch views away from 3D “3”, say go to snap cockpit “2”, then go back to 3D “3”, the view isn’t at the position you left it in but always noticeably more zoomed in.
Again a nuisance if you established your view perfectly once and expect it to stay there. -
Open up config.exe and change your Default FOV to something a little wider.
Mine is 70Deg instead of the Default, 60.

There are absolutely no changes from 4.32, 4.33, 4.34 or 4.35 … The position of eye view is impossible to change along Y axis so it can’t be closer.
Check you FOV settings in BMS Configurator. Maybe in 4.34 you had a wider FOV by default.

Ok, forget 1st point. Seems it was linked to having Mouse Wheel bound to Field of View.
It seems if mouse wheel is bound to field of view, then FoV default when entering pit is very low.
