Have always used Precision mode….cant remember whether there is much difference.

Hi,
I actually prefer standard, as for me and my settings this seems to give a more realistic head movement and quick glance eye tracking experience. Strangely, I find the precise mode somewhat wooly and err……imprecise! Probably just me though. (TIR5)

Precision video processing mode seems better. It looks like it’s taking non-binary pixel states and finding the center of the fuzzy blob instead of the center of a set of 0/1 pixel array. The result seems to be a smoother, less-jittery track.

According to the manual precision mode is restricted in its 3D movement.
For most sim operations it is advisable to use standard mode.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Video Processing Mode
Standard
Standard mode is intended for use with TrackIR 3 or 4. It should only be used with TrackIR 5 under extremely bright lighting conditions when the tracking screen is flickering and tracking is highly unstable. Please consult technical support before using this mode with TrackIR 5.Precision
Precision mode is intended for use with TrackIR 5 and cannot be used by previous generations. It offers superior resolution and tracking stability.**Very bright lighting from behind affects the receptor greatly. I have a window behind me and use very dark shading paper or curtain.
