Ice’s Falcon BMS Profile Updated for BMS 4.35

I think that this has gone on long enough, this thread is entitled “Ice’s Falcon BMS Profile Updated for BMS 4.35” not “How to unsuccessfully extract parts of it to an iPad”
If you’re going to continue with this would you please start a new thread since this has now gone completely off topic.

Am I disturb you?
If you are Admin you can move all chats about this subject to open new Helios with İpad topic?

As I said, would you please start a new thread, You’ve taken 37 posts in this thread which are completely off the original topic and still haven’t achieved a solution.

Off Topic
I am asking you politely again, would you please start a new topic for this. That’s now 38 posts of yours which are off topic and if you include the replies from oakdesign the number is more than 60.

And I am going to continue to ask for you to start a new thread/topic since the problems you are having are not related to this thread.
From the images you have posted and the errors that you are getting it is obvious that you have not read the Setup Guide that I have taken the time to provide, or if you have read it then you haven’t followed it. Hundred of others have managed to install this successfully without any problems by following the Setup Guide yet it has taken you 60 off topic posts and still you have errors.

1. No no he is not an admin so he cant move any post and even an admin would not move single post out of a thread
2. This thread was started by linknet to provide the Helios Profile he made based on ICE profile
3. I fully understand that linknet wan’t to get this/his thread related to questions/problems/ of his profile as it’s delivered not how to make user specific adoptions to it
4. I apologize to linknet for beeing part of that off-topic spam.
5. He kindly ask you to open your own threat so please do so
6. I won’t answer any question in this thread anymore that are not directly related to #3 -

But it became clear from the last set of images that the profile wasn’t even installed properly to begin with. So time to call a halt.

Master Arm Switch is not included in the Rampstart, Hotstart, Airstart Sequence
IMHO at least Rampstart should reset the Master Arm to off and Airstart to Master Arm Arm

OK, Thanks, I missed that one. I’ll go for Airstart ARM and Rampstart and Hotstart OFF since that seems to follow the mode in which the Sim starts up.
There are over 65 buttons and switches etc. that get changed in that routine so there may be more that I’ve missed, just let me know if you find any more.

maybe think of putting the profile under vcs / github as the .hpf file is basically xml someone else could submit a PR and you could just merge it.

Good idea but I’m not sure how well it would work out in practice. Even simple changes in the profile such as moving a panel up or down in the Layers List cause massive changes to the xml file when compared using a file comparison program. So when GitHub attempts to display a PR’s changes it could get very confusing. Then there’s the problem of monitor ID, if the profile was edited on a setup with Monitor 1,2 changed to Monitor 2,1 for instance then there would be thousands of changes showing up and that’s without someone changing the resolution via Reset Monitors.
Another problem is that Reset Monitors doesn’t preserve the order of the bindings so you can finish up with hundreds of changes without actually editing the profile. That was one of the reasons that I had to rewrite whole sections of the profile so that it wasn’t dependant on the order of the bindings and that it still worked after using Reset Monitors. -
I’m using Helios with Ices falcon profile 4.35. The screen with the cockpit shows up and the gauges reflect the sim values.
the problem is when I try to move the mouse to the new screen the mouse won’t go past the right edge of monitor 1.
I have tried with a 2nd monitor hooked to the computer, a monitor connected by the network and with space desk. Tried many, many, many times.
I tried changing the values in falcon bms config for mouse exclusivity and the button 4 disconnect mouse. I even tried a program called mouseunsnag. Nothing works
everything works fine in dcs.
I update the helios profile every time I change monitor setup.
any help would be appreciated

dougSo presumably you have the 2nd monitor set on the right in the windows display settings, not physically. Physically, as you are probably aware, you can position it anywhere you want. What mode are you running BMS in, windowed, borderless or fullscreen.
Edit: You posted this on Discord:
I tried to use ice falcon 4.35 profile. The mouse cursor won’t go over the screen 2 on the right. When I changed the falcon cfg file to unlock the mouse in 3D the cursor appears on both screens. The two cursors are synced when moving. So when you are on an mfd on screen2 your screen 1 cursor is not on the same thing. Any ideas on how to fix this? ThanksWhich seems to imply that at some stage it was working since you got the duplicate mouse pointers?

Yes I have the correct monitor positions. The second monitor is physically on the right and is correct when I check display settings.
When I set exclusive use to 0 in BMS cfg file I get 2 cursors, one on each screen. They are synced to each other. If I move one the other follows exactly along. If I use the cursor on the helios panel and click a button, where ever the cursor is in BMS is what gets clicked, usually outside the cockpit. If I then change the setting in the cfg file for mouse button 4 and click button 4 the BMS cursor disappears but as soon as I touch the trackball it comes back.
I know this is confusing.
Thanks
Doug

Have you tried disabling the mouse in BMS by clicking the button marked “Mouse” in the profile on the top left eyebrow. You’ll still have two cursors but the one in BMS should be inactive.
Or do none of the clicks on the profile register?

Well I wasted a week of my life for a stupid mistake.
I went back and reinstalled everything……including the step I missed. I didn’t load the correct key file.
Worked like a champ.
Sorry for wasting your time and thanks for your help.
