Back on topic.
Master Arm Switch is not included in the Rampstart, Hotstart, Airstart Sequence
IMHO at least Rampstart should reset the Master Arm to off and Airstart to Master Arm Arm

OK, Thanks, I missed that one. I’ll go for Airstart ARM and Rampstart and Hotstart OFF since that seems to follow the mode in which the Sim starts up.
There are over 65 buttons and switches etc. that get changed in that routine so there may be more that I’ve missed, just let me know if you find any more.

maybe think of putting the profile under vcs / github as the .hpf file is basically xml someone else could submit a PR and you could just merge it.

Good idea but I’m not sure how well it would work out in practice. Even simple changes in the profile such as moving a panel up or down in the Layers List cause massive changes to the xml file when compared using a file comparison program. So when GitHub attempts to display a PR’s changes it could get very confusing. Then there’s the problem of monitor ID, if the profile was edited on a setup with Monitor 1,2 changed to Monitor 2,1 for instance then there would be thousands of changes showing up and that’s without someone changing the resolution via Reset Monitors.
Another problem is that Reset Monitors doesn’t preserve the order of the bindings so you can finish up with hundreds of changes without actually editing the profile. That was one of the reasons that I had to rewrite whole sections of the profile so that it wasn’t dependant on the order of the bindings and that it still worked after using Reset Monitors. -
I’m using Helios with Ices falcon profile 4.35. The screen with the cockpit shows up and the gauges reflect the sim values.
the problem is when I try to move the mouse to the new screen the mouse won’t go past the right edge of monitor 1.
I have tried with a 2nd monitor hooked to the computer, a monitor connected by the network and with space desk. Tried many, many, many times.
I tried changing the values in falcon bms config for mouse exclusivity and the button 4 disconnect mouse. I even tried a program called mouseunsnag. Nothing works
everything works fine in dcs.
I update the helios profile every time I change monitor setup.
any help would be appreciated

dougSo presumably you have the 2nd monitor set on the right in the windows display settings, not physically. Physically, as you are probably aware, you can position it anywhere you want. What mode are you running BMS in, windowed, borderless or fullscreen.
Edit: You posted this on Discord:
I tried to use ice falcon 4.35 profile. The mouse cursor won’t go over the screen 2 on the right. When I changed the falcon cfg file to unlock the mouse in 3D the cursor appears on both screens. The two cursors are synced when moving. So when you are on an mfd on screen2 your screen 1 cursor is not on the same thing. Any ideas on how to fix this? ThanksWhich seems to imply that at some stage it was working since you got the duplicate mouse pointers?

Yes I have the correct monitor positions. The second monitor is physically on the right and is correct when I check display settings.
When I set exclusive use to 0 in BMS cfg file I get 2 cursors, one on each screen. They are synced to each other. If I move one the other follows exactly along. If I use the cursor on the helios panel and click a button, where ever the cursor is in BMS is what gets clicked, usually outside the cockpit. If I then change the setting in the cfg file for mouse button 4 and click button 4 the BMS cursor disappears but as soon as I touch the trackball it comes back.
I know this is confusing.
Thanks
Doug

Have you tried disabling the mouse in BMS by clicking the button marked “Mouse” in the profile on the top left eyebrow. You’ll still have two cursors but the one in BMS should be inactive.
Or do none of the clicks on the profile register?

Well I wasted a week of my life for a stupid mistake.
I went back and reinstalled everything……including the step I missed. I didn’t load the correct key file.
Worked like a champ.
Sorry for wasting your time and thanks for your help.

No problem, just pleased that you got it working.

Dear Linknet,
Thank You again for sharing this very complete profile.
The only issue I had was a problem with the moving map on the CPD "Centre Panel Display).
You have to save the map in Weapon Delivery Planner as …\Helios\Images\FalconBMS Images 4.35\User Data\Map.
But the map HAS to be zoomed out completely; you have to see the full map before saving it (see attachment). Otherwise there is a mismatch between the map and the position of the plane. Is this correct?

Yes has to be the full map as the position of your plane is calculated from the lower left corner of the theater map and the map dimension should be 4096 X 4096

Thanks for the Thanks. By the way I did include that in the Setup Guide:
Quote:
To update the map in the Centre Panel Display use Weapon Delivery Planner and save the map to \Helios\Images\FalconBMS Images 4.35\User Data\Map\Map.jpg. Ensure that the map is saved at 4096 x 4096 pixels by zooming out fully in WDP. Unfortunately the map will only update in the Helios profile after closing and reopening the Helios Control Centre. -
I cannot get the Pilot model to hide/show. It would appear “Instr Mode Ils/Tcn” is assigned to “alt-c” so the “alt-c p” key-combo is never fired.
In fact, none of the other key-combo SIM functions work and Frame rate is assigned to its own key “shift-d”.
DIY FTW!

You have to use the ice key file included with the zip archive. Your probably not pointing the profile to the correct key file.

Or if you can’t use the provided ICE profile directly as you are using Alternative Launcher you have to copy the content of the keyfile and replace the keybind part in your BMS - Full.key

yes what he said ^
Thats what I had to do as well

Thats what I had to do as well
I had a look into the keyfile that comes with the profile and indeed for the
SimPilotToggle -1 0 0x19 0 0x2E 4 1 “SIM: Toggle Pilot Model”
so the pilot toggle still expects a key combo key to be set 0x2E 4 = Alt C
but
CommandsSetKeyCombo -1 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 1 “SIM: Key Combination Keys (KeyCombo)”
So checking SimPilotToggle in the Falcon interface Helios shows to send “p” for that callback which BMS would recognize as SimTogglePause.
I haven’t run into that as I toggle the pilot with an DX command from my HOTAS. But the way it’s currently provided you wouldn’t be able to toogle the pilot through keyboard press nor through a Binding in the Profile
