Weapon Delivery Planner released

Just returned from an Israel Campaign mission where all went well except the stupid AI that once again didn’t bomb anything…
There where 2 things…
1. after bombing (stpt 5 of my route) the nav stpt line seemed to change and had to load the DTE that corrected things up.
2. Even though I saved and reloaded everything 100 times (before hit fly) in the datacard (meaning on WDP) was showing my loadout with 2xGB32 and I was loaded with 8xGB32… Also to add to that, this made me insecure with what loadout I will be when entering the 3dworld. Thankfully it was the correct. There must be some limitations on AI profile… For example I had 8 GB32 and set on target (stpt 5) altitude 5.000ft. Gave the command on stpt 4 show them split and gain altitude but never hit anything. Although I have to say they called joker in the meantime…
So they canceled and gone RTB cause of joker fuel…??? I thought that they RTB when on Bingo and not on Joker.
Also a q here when AI go RTB do they follow the stpt’s or they go straight to the base in a perfect line?Still I have the insecurity if I have done the steps ok. All hell buttons there confuse me being an oldfart already…
I believe a general extra huge button saying campaign and entering the program to CAMPAIGN MODE disappearing or graying and disabling all the buttons and choices that are not needed would be best.
Also a Help file with 1.2.3.4.5.6…. minimum basic steps for campaign only would be great like for example took me some time to find the mission file and also now I don’t remember where I found it… I was going like touch and see what shows up… lol
Also it would be great a button to reset the files (campaign or TE) like the user never ever used WDP.Is it only me with those confusions??? (lol sure I am… )
The good thing was that I set stpt 19 as the target and in 3d pit it showed up the hud symbology when I chose that stpt… So that part worked intentionally and perfect… Also I got how to change that target stpt from the ICP… wohooo…
I saved the datacard local (I believe… lol… it said so…)Once again thanx Falcas…

WDP does not change anything in your mission files,so the loadout is never changed.
The loadout screen you get is so that you can check (or change) the loadout. This is used to calculate the performance.
As WDP is reading the mission files, it will take the loadout what is in the file. So if you join a mission (in BMS), then change the loadout, that change can only be seen in WDP if you save the mission (in BMS) and load that file in WDP.Gr Falcas

thanx m8… Now let me tell u something in Israel I noticed some difference on load weight and drag factor between Falcon and WDP. Is that the case or something is wrong there? I had 8 gbu 38’s and a 300gl centerline tank. and the stock AA configuration… 2 pythons 4 and 2 sidewinders. I checked the weapons models where all the same in both loadouts (Falcon and WDP).

Hi Falcas,
Two new issues that I think are wrong.
- TOSS -> DED Data. In DED Data Panel, TGT-TO-VRP Range is not convert to nm.
- In HADB, DED Data (VRP, PUP, OA1, …) are not correctly saved to DTC when push “Save to DTC” button.
Thank you!!
Hi Ender,
Missed your post, sorry for that.
I had a look and your where right.
Both fixed in the next update.Gr Falcas

Hi,
Update time. Latest version is 3.4
Check here for the changelog: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?5293-Weapon-Delivery-Planner&p=66013#post66013A couple of new features:
You can now change the main screen resolution. Choices 1280x960, 1600x1200, 1900x1080.One other new feature has to do with your target.
If you load a mission and it is a strike mission, WDP will recognize your strike STPT and will set the target info. Here you can see a mission loaded where Wonsan Airbase is the target. Do note that the Hangar is the selected target. The next version of Mission Commander will have the same new option and you can set the selected target building. But not only the few that you can set in Falcon, but all the buildings.
Double clicking on the DMPI box (where you see Hangar) you will get a new screen. Here you can see a list of all the features that this objective has. You can select the building you would like as a target clicking in the list as well as in the “Recon” map.
Using the “Apply” button will set your STPT exactly over this building. However, the target is not save to the mission file as WDP does NOT change the mission files.Enjoy,
Falcas

Can someone please explain the following:
WDP is installed in the default directory (with default install ‘for everyone’), C:\Program Files (x86)\Weapon Delivery Planner
For some strange reason though it saves datacards and associated files to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Weapon Delivery Planner
Click on the ‘Cards Directory’ button however and it opens up Windows Explorer pointing at C:\Program Files (x86)\Weapon Delivery Planner\Datacards (or sometimes C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents)
I can’t see any settings I can change to affect this and it makes no sense to me. Is this normal? Can it be changed?

Hi Falcas,
With the latest version of WDP i found a small issue with the loadout screen.
I was using a assymetrical loadout, left wing fuel tank, right wing bombs. In the loadout screen this was inverted (left was right)
Absolutely not a big thing, just wanted to report.
Also hoping it would be possible to have the DTC popup message and loadout screen to use same screen as main WDP screen? Because of the multiple screens i use, best would be to able to select( and remember next time when starting WDP) one screen (or coordinates) and have all subscreens opened on that same screen? Thanks for all the hard work and updates.
Cheers,
Obi1 -
falcas just a thought combining some of the MC features with WDP
ie
sellecting the target form a screen like this and passing the coord’s to the dtc as tgt stpt… (then just save the dtc) no more alt-tabs/ recon of the target in game just to take the coord’s…ability to show the profile in conjuction(a second option to the profile map??)

- For the primairy target, when you do hit “Apply” in the building list, the values are set on the datacard and the coordinates are copied to your callsign.ini and te.ini.
In the next update you will be able to set the coordinates like that for more STPTs.

I am not sure I follow what you mean here.

Obi1With the messages I think this will be a hard thing to do… However I can have a look at the loadoutscreen (and others)
Showing those at the center of the main screen should work.In the next update I have removed the pop-up of the loadout screen if you load a mission.
This was starting to annoy me big time.
You can still access the screen if you want to by going to the Performance tab.Gr Falcas

Did you load a mission before you used those options?

Thanks Falcas,
Yes, keeping it on the same screen as where the main is at that time will be perfect.
Damn, i think you looked through my Australian disguise already;)Gr. Obi1

Hi Falcas, thanks for helping.
If I click on ‘Cards Directory’ before I open a mission WDP opens up Windows Explorer in the correct place, i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\Weapon Delivery Planner\Datacards but there is only the blank default datacard there.
If I click on ‘Load DataCard’ before I open a mission WDP does (appear to) open up the window in the correct place, i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\Weapon Delivery Planner\Datacards and all the datacards appear to be there. When I try to open a .bdc using WDP however I get the following message:
When I save a datacard it appears to save it in the default directory but is actually saving it in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Weapon Delivery Planner.
After I’ve opened a mission then ‘Cards Directory’ seems to change to C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents.
I originally installed WDP on my F: drive (another OCZ SSD drive that failed). I’ve since installed it on my drive. I wondered if there were legacy issues to do with that but I couldn’t see anything in regedit pointing to the old location.

Just load the mission before you save or load a datacard. That is the way it was designed to work.
It is a backup mode for saving and loading the data that you have set and inserted.Gr Falcas

When loading WDP “ALOW MSL” in DTC -> SYSTEMS -> ICP always appears to be reset to 10000 feet and, unlike everything else on this page, does not display the value already present in callsign.ini
Currently one must therefore correct ALOW MSL every time.
You are correct, was a small typo in the code. Fixed in the next update.
Thanks for the report.Gr Falcas
Hi Falcas. I think this minor issue is still present in version 3.4.
