You can still use Ahmed’s old tool. grb2fmap.
I did go with this tutorial (Skip the timezone part, leave it at UTC):
and ZYgrib to download the Weather
https://www.zygrib.org/#section_windowsoriginal Downloadlink grb2fmap
https://mega.nz/#!UMAVFYzI!zflVdTsrUOBcnNcsbEnpZHVqgKXc3TI1GINI751zqtMIt’s a little awkward if you’re used to F4Wx because you have to do all the steps by hand, but it works.
@Ahmed: Last working set of data for me is March 23rd. Nothing after that seems to work.
@Chaser911: I followed all instructions and successfully managed to download weather files but they don’t seem to be compatible with 4.35

Hi all,
NOAA changed the directory structure on their servers, meaning that F4Wx stopped working. I’ve already fixed that.
However, a more complex additional new issue, due to new data provided in the GRIBs, will require more investigation before I can release an update.
And yes, Grb2Fmap is not compatible with latest BMS releases.

New update is available on the first post.
I released it as otherwise you guys have no functional version of F4Wx, but this is as beta as it can get. The changes to some of the parameters on the GRIB files meant that the cloud layer detection/conversion had to be completely re-written. I’ve been able to do only limited testing of how of an accurate representation of the real world cloud coverage it is depicting right now. If you find any significant mismatches, feel free to send me any feedback of inaccurate clouds, accompained by real world metar/satellite imagery for a given date/time, to further investigate.

Thank you very much Ahmed!

Good morning, dear Ahmed.
As you sure know, Nevada theater for 4.35.1 has been released… we have a great theater back, it was time.
We were wondering if it would be added by you to your most useful utility’s theater list in the next future versions… for any use and help, here as follow are its coordinates (courtesy by NIL, who caught them out):
Min LAT: +33
Max LAT: +43
Left LON: -121
Right LON: -109
Time Zone: -9
Theater Size: 64Thanks in advance for your attention also, and with best regards.
-
“Sync With Real Timezone” should be removed because now we talk in Zulu time
it brings some confusion…

Hi, Thanks I’ll take a look at it in the next days.

You are right. I’ll make a note for the next update.

Nevada preset added and available on the built-in updater

Thanks for your attention, dear Ahmed.
With best regards.

Added Taiwan preset as well through the auto-updater.

9PM EST this evening I seem to be getting “Error downloading file index.” no matter what historic weather data I choose from the app.
Will report back if this doesn’t change tomorrow.

It worked after about 7 tries this morning. Seems to be very finicky?

Does not work. “Error downloading file index.” Why so?

Love the auto update to download new theater data!
Ahmed, is there any chance you could add the ‘MidEast’ 128segment theater? Many thanks!

Well said, Dustoff.
And please, dear Ahmed - would you take in consideration to add those other theaters released in these last days all, if you don’t mind and this won’t make you busy too much?
With best regards.

Very useful, dear Dustoff.
I will try to insert these data, but I can figure that all will go fine since now.
Thanks a lot for your attention too!
With best regards.
