Failure

How can I make a mistake? It is written in the documents but not how to create it. For example, landing gear failure such as hydraulic loss

Hello, If you examine the training script TR_BMS_09_Failures.run, you can find the way to trigger faults at a specific time. According to technical manual, in page 203, you can create a failure for normal tactical engagement missions(.tac), with the same .run extension. Also in the configuration file under user/config folder you can enable random failures.

You can even trigger a random failure at any time in flight.
There is a shortcut for it -Alt+“C”, then “R”.
I found it once purely accidentally, and it didn’t end well

If you want to fly a TE with failures that you want to happen in a specific time you must create a file with extension .run with the same name of the TE you want to trigger the faults. Inside this .run file you will define the type of failure and the time you want to trigger this failure. If you read the technical manual you can find all the needed information there.

Let me enter your hangar and see what happens next, then. :uham:
JFK.With best regards.

This is super useful. I’ve heard that the ‘enable in-flight failures’ feature is unreliable (i.e. triggers way too often, I think?), but with the hotkey I can script it to trigger the keystroke randomly instead.
