EPU Pin in Ramp
-
Hi.
Some answers.
Im finding issues in Ramp Start.
JFS 1 runs for 10 seconds, sounds like a coyote got wedged in the engine fins then shuts down. What is your “Master Fuel” switch position? … Are you using (and following) properly the check-lists? Have you read the manuals?
JFS 2 same issue.
Well. As you said, same issue.
EPU Pin removal has no callback in the keyfiles, examined all 5 files
No callback. EPU PIN has to be removed by ground crew … for this, use radio menu. This is clearly and well explained in manuals.
Ramp Ive managed to get 1 time up to engines running and errors on the warning panel on every attempt
Which is normal. Refer to 1.
FCR doesnt want to turn on even if you have the switch on, use MFD controls
AIR SOURCE knob position? … Refer to 1.
(for info BMS is not DCS)
DTC wont load properly
Need more info.
Did you saved the DTC under UI?
Did you pressed the DTE load OBS on MDF?
What are you issue more specifically (never had any issues on my side).PWR lights are yellow, not seen green at all yet.
Why? … Are the PWR lights supposed to be green? … Not to my knowledges.
Depending on models, light are yellow/orange.
, but are these errors common to all users or just me?
I would bet just you (and maybe some rare other).
Regards.

Additional info
Master fuel on
Power tried both Full on and half way, same results.
EPU Pin occasionally now disappears with radio set on 15 and set default.
Chocks come off if all I had was a flag to wave.
Problem appears to be with the JFS. My throttles back as it should be, get the Blending coyote noise from the engines on JFS1 then the engines die, (this is on a block 52) go to JFS2 same noise 10 seconds and dead.
Ive been grounded due to health issues for a long time, may have missed a lot of new stuff. Found the remove the EPU pin in the tower radio, but occasionally that works. All help is appreciated, apart the moving of the Oxygen switch under the right lever, not helpful to hide controls.
Ive done the dance and reload a few times just in case it was that. My windows is fully up to date. Wind 10 Pro
Ill stick at it and see if I can crack where the problem is, thanks all its much appreciated.

Would need a video …
OBS or nVidia capture … Smart phone … anything allowing to see and hear what you see and hear.

Diguelo,
Follow these four steps and do nothing else with any other settings in your jet :-
1. make sure throttle is “off”, not just at idle, check your detent position in your controller set up.
2. ELEC panel set switch to “Main PWR”
3. FUEL panel set knob to “NORM”
4. ENG panel switch to “STRART 2”These steps should get you engine up to 25% report back and as Dee-Jay said a video from the moment you get into the pit would help resolve your issues.

It’s a little unfortunate that there aren’t start procedures in levels. The checklists and videos are a hundred different items which is confusing to someone new. It would be a difficult task to construct the start as several layers so a person could learn certain critical things first like engine and electricity just to taxi then add in INS and FLCS stuff enough to takeoff and land. After that add in coordination and signal like lights and radios. Then add in tactical systems, etc.

This is a great youtube video idea, if anyone is so inclined.
Learnings styles are related to Meyers-Briggs personality type (N vs S)… some of us are top-down, abstract/hierarchical learners, some of us are bottom-up concrete/sequential learners.
(Ultimately, mastering every aspect of flying and fighting requires developing an aptitude in both of these mindsets … which is why it’s so challenging at times … but also rewarding.)

Problem fixed.
Couple of issues in WIndows updates didnt complete.Cleaned out the old updates cache, then ran the updates and yet another features update and security.
Cleaned out all Falcon files and registry entries, restart and clean registry using CCleaner. Reinstalled the Falcon setup and U1, ran it up, Made a new TE single ship, loaded dtc up 15 default. Ramp start and it all works fine now. Best guess is that the DX stuff got overwriten by a bad update.
Thanks for the answers, it all helps in the long run. Happy flying.

Its not so hard. The few times Ive talked someone through a ramp start, Ive found Ive had better results when skipping stuff and getting them airborne faster, with a barebones start, and then going back and teaching the missing elements later, as those systems are needed.

Phew, glad to hear it.

Upon further investigation, the failed updates to Windows 10 features pack caused issues with a few of my programs, not just falcon.
Thanks for the time and trouble guys.
a free program Fix Win 10 well worth having in your system. Fixes this kind of issue as well as many others. Highly recommended
