Possible Bug REF HAD..
-
Version and Build number 4.35 U1 23064
Detailed Description
- take a flight with Harms and HTS and have PPTs loaded on data cart and Displayed on HAD (Harm TE)…
- when close to target and with PPTs shown go into EXP mode on HAD …
- Expected (intended) result is that the map should remain steady in EXP mode i.e Target Up and only the small aircraft symbol should move around map with the PPTs and nav lines remaining steady
- actual behavior is that PPTs turn as if in the original non EXP mode (Course Up) however nav lines remain steady as expected …

6) this can be repeated by using the Harm TE … fly towards any PPT go in Exp mode and turn see that PPTs also turn, the only way to reset is come out of EXP mode and then back to EXP once flying straitnon Priority bug that could be postponed until next version

I can’t make argument for what the real avionics are like … but this doesn’t seem obviously wrong to me. Perhaps I need to fly and try it out to see what you’re saying.
But I’d expect EXP mode to be zoomed-in on your cursor position, but all items on the map to rotate according to compass direction of your plane just like normal fov mode.

Oops nevermind I see your point – the normal steerpoint lines and radar targets etc all stay fixed it’s just the PPT rings and labels that move.
I hadn’t ever used EXP much in HAD … only brief moments. I was a little surprised to see it acts like “FZ” mode on the HSD. I’d thought it was just a zoom-in around the cursor position.
This sounds like a good bug to add to https://bmsbugs.blu3wolf.com/

glad you seen my point in the end , yes it is suppose to freeze it to the cursor to allow a zoomed in search for SAM FCR and SA radars and null the aircraft heading however the PPTs are still behaving like they are in non EXP mode …as can be seen in the Pic i uploaded, the PPTs are suppose to be at the top of the HAD page however they rotated to the right of the HAD page which is not their geographical true position … Thanks will check out BluWolfs Bug Report later tonight
