Virtual Iniohos Exercise 2021
-
**Hi everyone!
As promised E-haf and 320 squadron want to invite you once again to our interdisciplinary and multinational exercise Virtual Iniohos 2021.**
For the exercise, we are going to fly with Falcon BMS 4.35.2 and EMF 1.0.7v
The exercise is going to start with the familiarization flight on Friday 5/11 and 6 main events will follow on 12/11, 19/11, 26/11, 3/12, 10/12, 17/12. As you can see this time we are going to fly with one-week interval instead of two in order to fly more missions in a short period of time.
The slots for incoming players are 8 to 10 keeping in mind that some of them (maybe two) are going to be backup pilots or observing the flight through another pilot via screen mirror(like a two-seat aircraft). If there are a lot of participants then we are going to rotate every formation so all of us can fly in the exercise.
In order for a pilot to participate, he must be a part of a squadron. Every player that wants to be a part of the exercise as AWACS he can do it regardless of being a member of a squadron providing that he has basic knowledge of ATC and picture labelling. We need as many as possible AWACS players to maximize realism at all levels. So feel free to apply for the event IAW this form:

Hi, What are the expected mission times in zulu?
-
All the events will take place at 1900Z. There is a very small possibility of having winter time shift again. If this happens 1900Z will become 2000Z.
For now let’s say 1900Z

A few details about the exercise…
This year the event is not going to be a single base operation as we are going to try to have a more smooth multiplayer experience. The airbase for the Blue side(COMAO) is going to be Nea Aghialos as last year and for the Red side(DCA) Souda. In order not to have multiplayer issues as last year no more than 20 players are going to fly at each mission.
If there are a lot of participations then the two sides are going to be fixed with certain pilots as missions will have a progressive character and each side will have specific goals throughout all the missions.
We will fly a variety of missions such as stationery/dynamic targeting, naval strike, search and rescue, slow mover protection and of course if you have any ideas we are ready to make them happen.
All missions are going to be supported with at least one human AWACS for each side in order to maximize the realism. Of course, more human AWACS is better so if you have any experience, please jump in as it will be a far greater experience.
Here is an idea of the arena where all the missions will take place…

I’m still amazed at the level of detail you guys went through last year. Well done!
All the best,
Uwe

Sounds really exciting.
Unfortunately 1900z / 2000z start time isn’t workable for Asia time zone.
Would like to sign up 4 ships for some nice professional mission together if event time could start at around 1200z though…. -

I know it says you have to be part of a squadron. Why is that? I want to participate but I am not affiliated to any squadrons.

Hm, can’t you just join the 157th for the time being? Your nickname would hint in that direction, even if it’s just a “sqdn of one”
I’d love to participate as well but I’m afraid that just like last year, I will get cold feet after sighting the initial mission documents and finding out again that there are several GBU-10 crater sized holes in my BMS knowledge
I’m sure you guys will have fun though given the stellar work that was done by the organizers last year!
All the best,
Uwe

PS: Just as a heads-up I’ve experienced some crashes offline in BMS with EMF 1.0.7, you might want to check out this thread here:
All the best, Uwe

I’ve been running EMF for a while now with no issues. Its pretty stable on my end.
-
I should have mentioned the crashes happened in EMF-L by Lorik, maybe it’s not an issue with the stock EMF, just wanted to make sure that you’re aware of it.
Overall, both EMF and EMF-L have been quite stable on my end.
All the best,
Uwe

The purpose of squadrons’ participation only is that we want the pilots to familiar with each other in a formation.
So everybody who has a mate feel free to join us.

Hi all!
From now on every pilot who wants to participate can do it via discord ( https://discord.gg/UnKuuUk ). In the Iniohos participation text channel, you can apply for the event or just state as a Guest. Guests this year has the opportunity to watch screen share from members of our squadron during several missions and from any member that flies at the event.
We are waiting for you!!!
