Thanks!!!
Hello Aspide,
1. I don’t believe the BMS NVG’s have adjustable brightness or contrast controls. They can just be turned on and off (keystroke “n”)
2. The TGP can only be “locked” on certain vehicles. For bombing buildings, stc, you need to be ‘ground stabilized’ or AREA mode. This thread has a discussion of the issue:
https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?8631-Activate-point-track-TGP3. In most cases centering the Mav, TGP or HUD is accomplished by TMS down (sometimes twice). This usually takes you out of any tracking mode and returns the sensor to its default state. However, some sensors are slaved to another sensor in its default state (e.g. the TGP is slaved to the FCR) so you need to make sure the other sensor is also centered. In the case of the FCR, that can be centered using the “Cursor Zero (CZ)” OSB button on the MFD.
Just a quick suggestion… you will get better and faster answers to your questions by first searching the forums to see if someone else has already had the same question and then posting in the Technical Help Forum if you still can not find your answer. Of course, if your question is specific to my profile, please feel free to post here.

Hi Morphine,
Thanks for the great work, it’s a really useful profile!
I have 2 questions regarding your profile,
-
When I’m flying the plane zoomed out (using my mouse scroll wheel) and I depress MIC Switch (Up) for UHF, my view suddenly snaps back to normal zoom. Is there a way to disable this? (The snapback doesn’t occur with other buttons on the MIC Switch.) I’m asking as I usually fly zoomed out (esp for dogfights), and it’s really disorienting…
-
When I depress the MIC Switch (Down) in Setup Controllers, the command seems to “oscillate” between VHF and Scroll lock, is this normal? (Just wondering if it’s a manufacturing defect…Lol)
Cheers,
Toof -

Toof1.) I’ve never seen that behavior from the Mic Switch. I’ve got it set up to send both the UHF PTT command (for IVC) and Middle Mouse Button (which I use for Whisper in Teamspeak). Perhaps the middle mouse button is causing the problem. You could take out the Mouse button by swapping out this line:
MapKeyIO(&Throttle, MSU, DX27, CHAIN( MOUSE_CENTER, DX27));
with this line:
MapKey(&Throttle, MSU, DX27);
Also, if you are always in a zoomed out view you might want to set that as the default in your configuration.
2.) Same thing on the Mic Down button. It is sending two commands simultaneously (VHF PTT for IVC and Scroll Lock for TS3). to remove the TS3 part just substitute the following line:
MapKeyIO(&Throttle, MSD, DX29, CHAIN( SCRLCK, DX29));
with this line:
MapKey(&Throttle, MSD, DX29);
Hope that helps.

Hi Morphine, thanks for the tips, they worked like a charm, cheers! :headb:

Hello Hollywood,
thread deleted. fixed

How do you get this to work. I have no shift functions, and my throttle doesn’t work at all. Edit: fixed, I believe.

Just want to say thanks Morphine, got a warthog the other day, it wont replace the Cougar in the pit but it’s a great setup for the desk. I was scratching my head looking at TARGET and you’ve just saved me probably 5-6 hours of work.
One question, where’s the beer button?

Glad you found it useful Coda.

Thanks Morphine
Saved me a mass of work and added some great ideas as to how I set up BMS.
I’m wondering (after an afternoon of searching) if the radar slew control and cursor enable, could be used as a mouse and left button with the ‘Shift’ layer. The scripting help file doesn’t appear to mention the use of “IO” with “MapAxis” and would not compile. Also struggling to find references to this on the web and no joy with the TARGET GUI.
Idea?

Hi Morphine,
I can’t download your profile from your website. It seems that the link doesn’t work. It does for the pdf though

I just tried it and it’s fine. Are you clicking the black arrow which is pointing down?

Thanks Morphine

BTW - are you hoping to use the mouse for clicking in the cockpit? If you can manage that you’ve got great motor skills. Even with large deadzones I still am not comfortable using that stick for slewing the radar. That’s one plus point for the Cougar IMO (and F22 and F16 FLCS before it that had trackballs or microsticks).

Sorry, I just tried with Firefox, it is fine.
I don’t know why but with IE10, the arrow was replace by a D’ so It wasn’t clear where to click.
Best,

I have seen it too but can’t track it down again. As regards the ‘over’-sensitivity of the ministick, it’s a hassle I’ve managed to sort with a large dead zone and a very flat profile. It works with the radar cursor but I confess I’ve not tried it as a mouse control and click yet. I’ll give this a whirl in the next week and report back.

Morphine Hello, I would like to know how to activate the ECM with your profile.

Morphine Hello, I would like to know how to activate the ECM with your profile.
If you are asking how to activate the ECM pod (Jammer), it is CMS-AFT. In fact, the CMS button is programmed to work per the Manual so I suggest you take a look there on it’s various functions. Also, take a look at this previous post… https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?8147-Morphine-s-Profile&p=126881&viewfull=1#post126881

With another script i dont hawe this problem.A couple of questions. Are you referring to when you are flying or in the setup screen? Have you set your AB detent by left clicking and the Idle detent by right clicking the Set AB button?

Yes. The AB are set.

Yes. The AB are set.
I hawe this problem during the fly. This problem only with your scriptI’m still not understanding your problem. Does the blue bar go all the way to the top in the setup screen? When running the script, have you looked at the output on the device analyzer to observe the throttle response?
