Solved Idle Detent key stroke and hotspot not working (Alt + i) - U3
-
g_bUseAnalogIdleCutoff 0
Is as well set through the Configurator checkbox. So if it’s not picked it’s set to 0 otherwise if ticked set to 1
-
@oakdesign, it’s marked 0 in my .config file
-
@airtex2019, the mousewheelknobs was set to 1, i set it to 0 but it didn’t made any difference the idle detent key still doesn’t work in ramp, and the hotspot doesn’t work as well
-
@waltherppk By any chance do you (or did you formerly) use Alternative Launcher?
-
@airtex2019, no i haven’t, I never tried the AL
-
@waltherppk hmm darn I’m out of ideas.

Nerver played around with using mouse as throttle. But can you check to set throttle back to keyboard. Other than that with throttle set to an axis it should be become second nature to move the throttle axis overthe full range before starting up the engine to ensure BMs is in sync with the axis

@oakdesign and @airtex2019 Thanks for the help!
I tried your advice and discovered what happened now.
When you use mousewheel as an axis in advanced setup, every time you start in 3D the throttle is in about 50% throttle. The other thing is that the axis is inverted so you need to push up to reduce and pull down the wheel to accelerate.
Idle detent will only work if your throttle is in idle, which is not the case with using the mousewheel as it starts with a value already.
When I reduced the throttle to idle again the detent worked perfectly.
Sorry to bother you guys, I believe I have forgotten about this detail
Thanks again,

@waltherppk Very true … side note: be very very careful if you choose “taxiway start” lol
-
@airtex2019 thats true, first thing always is put the throttle down and hit the brakes asap
