Solved BMS 4.36 CTD

@luke777 Disable full screen optimization? Right click on shortcut or exe, compatibility, disable full screen optimization must be checked.
-
@WurminatorZA Nope, same result

No problem here

@Bad-Boy
Thanks for your reply, but I updated the graphics card driver and CTD still appeared a few seconds after entering the 3D interface问题签名:

In my case Falcon doesn’t enter in 2D even. Only opening screen and … CTD
-
Two crashes so far, one on Georgia while doing a recon, the other on kto while exiting a test mission
-
Just add -nomovie in you shortcut to launch BMS
Or better : add this line into your User\Config\Falcon BMS User.cfg file :
set g_bPlayIntroMovie 0

@luke777 What are your system specs? I assume this system was running 4.35 ok?
The crash is in bp::RendererD3D11::createDeviceOnAdapter() which seems like it’s failing to initialize DX11 rendering.

@luke777 also, verify that sound is working ok on Windows before launching.
(I don’t know if 4.36 fixed this but 4.35 would crash on startup, on some systems, if there was no active audio device.)
-
Did you install the June 2010 full direct X runtime packages?
-
@WurminatorZA yes
-
@luke777 Have you cleared your DirectX shader cache yet?
-
@WurminatorZA Yes
-
@luke777 Maybe try uninstalling your display driver with DDU and then reinstalling, if that doesn’t work maybe try an older driver… Or reinstall 4.36.
-
@AlehandroGTI that is fixed, I reported it to max he handled it
-
@WurminatorZA Tried all that
-
Problem solved on my case!!
I followed:- Control panel
- System and security
- Administration tools
- View the event logs
Then on the left panel :
- Custom viewes
- Administrative events
