well the new beta 304.79 changes compared to the 304.48 are:New in 304.79 Drivers:
Adds support for NVIDIA TXAA
NVIDIA TXAA is new film-style anti-aliasing technique designed specifically to reduce temporal aliasing (crawling and flickering in motion) through a combination of hardware AA, custom CG film style AA resolve, and a temporal filter.
The Secret World is the first game to support TXAA (support will be enabled in an upcoming patch)…
TXAA is supported on GeForce GTX 600-series Kepler-based GPUs.
Learn more about TXAA on GeForce.com.New SLI Support
Adds or updates the following SLI profiles:
The Secret World - added
End of Nations - added
Nexuiz (also provided earlier via NVIDIA Update)
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier (also provided earlier via NVIDIA Update)
Tornado Force - added
Tribes: Ascend - updatedKey Fixes
Fixed a compatibility issue with Civilization V and GeForce 400/500 series GPUs
Fixed instances of flickering or missing mouse cursor when hardware cursor is enabled (reported with Aion, World of Warcraft, Eve Online and others).
Fixed instances of very low frame rates in Deus Ex: Human Revolution (DX11).
Fixed an issue that caused a PC reboot instead of a PC shut down.
Fixed an issue that led to a black screen after driver installation.
Power management mode settings now persist across driver overinstalls. So as seen nothing serious… so no need to use them unless u have The Secret World and want to try TXAA…
or SLI for the above games…So latest good ones are the 304.48
Now there are the:
306.02 BETA released 2012.08.27Downloading… Wait for approval… lol the AA team will report back… maybe tomorrow…
Edit: First Release document read tells me there is no significant as of performance but there are other interesting addons and fixes. So don’t hope for much…

Since I use W7 and the last drivers I got some lags sometimes when I use comms for tower and wingman and lags in cockpit buttons and switch. Things I never seen in xp sp3 and old drivers.
Any suggest,please?

Yeap 8xxx and 9xxx series seem to work better with old drivers… I believe they reached their pick and users should ignore this thread. Sorry.

306.02 beta look OK on a quick test I did. Looks like the same as 304.
Hopefully tonight I will test them more.Edit: I had an MP flight yesterday night all went sweet even recording with Fraps didn’t notice anything… So they are a GO from me… enjoy them guys…

I have had good performance with the 301.42. For me they seem to have very good stability.

@all,
I’d like to share an issue that accidently happened to me with the NVIDIA drivers.
Through the windows-feature: download updates (which I always have turned off, but somehow it was activated again (other family members!!! ##$$!%), a new NVIDIA driver was downloaded and unfortunately installed. But not the new videodrivers were installed, NEW RAID_DRIVERS! This caused my setup to get busted. One harddisk resetted itself to a non-stock size, and the raid configuration is not recognized anymore (also the driver interacts poorly with my XFX-mb). This led to my computer being unusable, including all BMS-stuff unfortunately.
SO, PLEASE BE CAREFULL THAT YOU REALLY GET THE VIDEO DRIVERS!
Regards,
Fan -
WTF??? try to download “winfix” sorry but is the only one i can think with 4 beer on my mind…
-
Thanks m8,
Only one prob: on the raid-disks is my vista64 installed. So no windows or whatsoever. No access to even the setup screen as the XFX mb keeps (infinitely that is now) looking for arrays… which he will not find anymore. Soooooooooooooooo, winfix won’t do I’m afraid
So, I have the machine ‘on steroids’ now with other equipment, to see if I can restore some of the data on the disks. Quite a hell of a job I can assure you
Hence my post, to share a ‘mind-your-step’ warning -
From another thread:
@Trueno:new drivers people.
306.23 version
check your “update”
I don´t any test yet, call for Arty thereHmm they are the final 304 version ones… looks good downloading… will take me a while to check them cause my Falcon FM files are fubared and I have to put them back in order A.K.A. dance…
as soon I’ll be back I will test them and report back…
The sad thing is that I had a campaign mission as reference that now I will loose it… Anyway… I must get back to daily backup on Falcon thanx Trueno for the heads up… -
No problem Arty, thx to you for move the post the correct place
