PC Restarts Fullscreen
-
Thanks guys for all the suggestions. I will go back to borderless mode then to get my stability back. And forget about the fullscreen mode.
And stick to dx9 versions of Bms until a new PC will arrive.Cheers Obi1

@Obi1 Just curious – in borderless mode, does triple-buffering still cause problem, or is it ok?
-
@airtex2019 In Borderless I get zero restarts with triple buffering on or off yes.
-
@Obi1 thx… yeah that really sounds like a driver bug, then.
-
@airtex2019 Yes I think so too now. My restarts still happened after changing the tripple buffer/vsync. (Most of the time being in TACREF i get the quickest restarts happening) I was suggested to try some older drivers again that work for others, maybe I will have a look someday. For now I will keep using borderless but loose a lot of fps with it.

@Obi1 there is another thread here someone with an R9 experiencing crash on startup…
I just happened to notice this page, indicating they’re still making driver updates for the R9, and still targeting Win7. I don’t know if it’s true or not…

@airtex2019 Yes i was already using this 22.6.1 driver. it seemed as an incidental release at the time. Not to be expected again. Anyway thanks but will not help. I was advised to actually also try older drivers as they where very good and maybe the issue was introduced in later drivers instead.

@Obi1 i had this before lf u have a powerful video card or u upgrade to new one , it need to good power source … so maybe u need to change your pc power with new one for this video card like what i did

@sheref But i just dont understand why I can run in borderless window mode without any of these restarts. I have a very stable system and use it solely for BMS. Does fullscreen suck up more power or heat. If so then fine. I will update my system in due time. But i dont have the extra space at home and energy and real need to start a complete hardware replacement.

@Obi1 maybe because my laptop when i run it in Fullscreen looks like the hardware disapplied and return to work again or maybe it’s just switch from the intel to NVidia put i am sure it’s about the power source in the PC
