Warthog shows as multimedia Device
-
Hi i have just reinstalled my Warthog ,but in control panel/hardware sound/Devices and printers it shows as a multimedia device is this normal, i am running the latest version win 10 , and why i am here are there any newer drivers than the 2014 from thrust masters site as there does not seem to be win 10 support…

There does not exist drivers for the TMWH per se. The interface is the Microsoft 6/21/2006 10.0.15063.0 driver as is generic to most DirectInput joysticks.
The packages available from Thrustmaster are for hardware firmware updates to the controllers (v11 and v23 for joystick and throttle respectively) and the TARGET programming software. The TARGET virtual device does have a non-Microsoft driver TmHid.sys 1.0.0.69 which is version 1.0.0.4 1/26/2011 Guillemot Corporation. The only items to be up to date are the hardware firmware versions (TARGET GUI program can check) and the TARGET software itself if used.
It’s very weird that the device would appear under the Multimedia category, mine does not. It may be an inconsequential oddity.
Release notes show Win 10 support and I have equal function in Win 10 as in Win 7.

@wolfstone
Having the same problem now with my WH Throttle on gaming machine. On other machines simply an unrecognised usb device. lights flicker when plugged in then nothing.,For me its not being detected as input device, including target. Feels like its bricked.
