Helios and X52 question
-
Hello, I have an X 52 non-pro HOTAS joystick as well as logitech MFD‘s and the logitech rudder pedals. Is there software that would help with mapping all of these items together? Is Helios that software that would be the best choice or are there other options since I’m not building a SIM rig with multiple monitors and instrument panels? I am really disappointed with the X 52 software and I’ve seen on this site people complaining about that as well, so I am wondering if there is any alternatives that will help make things easier? Thanks for any info you can provide. Sorry if this has been addressed before on the forum, I didn’t see anything really current when I went searching so figured I would just ask.

Only MFD’s I know of are ‘Thrustmaster’.
I think many people here will recommend Alternative Launcher for managing all their hardware inputs, and mapping them to the game.
You can also map device buttons and rotaries directly or using DX mapping, but I would not recommend doing that if you are starting out.
Helios is for putting panels from the cockpit onto screens and if they are touch screens, allowing interaction with them.

@Fish44 Thanks. My apologies they are the thrustmaster MFDs. I will look into the alternative launcher thanks. One more question, if I have an android tablet would that be something I could use Helios for or is it for like touch monitors and things not tablet integration. Thanks again.

Absolutely. But you have bigger fish (if you pardon the pun!) to be fried first.
When you want to get started with Helios, i recommend @oakdesign excellent video
