EZBoards - Generate kneeboards (flights, comms, stpts, weather) from briefings
-
@Skorp I’m neither, so there is good reasons to believe Englishmen wouldn’t understand my instructions any better!
-
@Logic
Tested on Falcon Online a few minutes ago and … it works .
Thanks again. -
Works perfect!
Thank you very much, Logic!!
-
Nice feature, I will try ASAP.
Thanks for the effort and the sharing.
Cheers,

Added link to new updated package v11 for BMS 4.37 in top post.
Only difference to v10.1 is the hardcoded 4.37 registry key string.
Most of you will have found out themselves and fixed it, but I see some new users trying it, so preferred to put up a new package to spare them any hassles. -
@Logic thanks Logic! Any chance of making ezwatch a bit less CPU hungry?

Wasn’t really aware that it is, honestly.
I’m using an of-the-shelf .NET System.IO.FileSystemWatcher with nothing much to configure other than the file being watched.
So unless I reimplement that on my own, nothing much I can do.
Maybe someone has a pointer to a better implementation I could use? -
@Logic it sits and burns a constant 25% cpu on my box.

Yeah, i confirm. 13% here, but still.
I’m working on something … -
There you go!
Package v12 - Now uses another 3rd party file watchdog for EZWATCH that should fix the CPU usage issue.
Top post download link updated. -

@Viktor How do you run it? Can you post the total output?
-
@Logic BRIEFINGTXT=“C:\Falcon BMS 4.37\User\Briefings\briefing.txt”
CALLSIGNINI=“C:\Falcon BMS 4.37\User\Config\Iceman.ini”
Generating HTML version of briefing data to briefing.html.
‘bin\xbrief.exe’ is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.ERROR
I run it using a shortcut.
-
@Viktor It might be your anti-virus that killed xbrief.exe. Do you have it in the \bin folder?
You can browse the contents of the zip file in the download link. There you can see all files that should be in the bin folder. Maybe some problems during extraction. Most probably due to antivirus. -
@Logic amazing! I look forward to testing it later.
-
@Logic You were right, i fixed that issue. got another fixed that one, and now im getting this
Could Not Find C:\Program Files\dotnet\temp.hex
Could Not Find C:\Program Files\dotnet\str.txt
PILOTCALLSIGN=
BRIEFINGTXT=“C:\Falcon BMS 4.37\User\Briefings\briefing.txt”
CALLSIGNINI=“C:\Falcon BMS 4.37\User\Config.ini”
Could not find callsign DTC file. You won’t get target steerpoints.
Generating HTML version of briefing data to briefing.html.
Access is denied.
Ok.
Rendering HTML to briefing.png image.
The system cannot find the path specified.ERROR
I’ll have to troubleshoot some more tomorrow. Gotta go to work, I appreciate your help.

Thank you for this great tool.
For the current Israel 1980s Theater 1.07.0 for 4.37 the line in Theaters.txt:
“Israel 1980s v1.7”,\Data\Add-On Israel\TerrData\Objects\KoreaObjneeds to be changed to:
“Israel 1980s”,\Data\Add-On Israel\TerrData\Objects\KoreaObjOtherwise the .bat won‘t be able to match it and set the default korea path.
The registry entry has changed to „Israel 1980s“ just lately. At least on my System there is no „ v1.7“ included any more.
-
@MatthlK Thanks for pointing out! Will be included in a subsequent update.

Hey, I’m new here. I’m one of those DCS guys that try Falcon BMS now you can use VR.
One of the first things I found for obvious reasons was EZBoard, but I can’t figure out what’s the problem here. Both files exist and are in the location. I also checked if export to text file is selected.
Only thing I noticed I have to start EZBoards as admin, otherwise I will get another Error:
**"A fatal error occurred. The required library hostfxr.dll could not be found.
If this is a self-contained application, that library should exist in [C:\EZBoards\bin].
If this is a framework-dependent application, install the runtime in the global location [C:\Program Files\dotnet] or use the DOTNET_ROOT environment variable to specify the runtime location or register the runtime location in [HKLM\SOFTWARE\dotnet\Setup\InstalledVersions\x64\InstallLocation]. -
@kilux Hi,
you’re probably missing the .NET Core runtime.
Try installing it from here:
