Trim setting problem 4.37
-
I have a slightly unusual stick configuration, because it is a combination of the X65F base and the Warthog grip. As the x and y axis I use X65F, the rest of the buttons are as Warthog. I can easily bind all buttons on the stick, except for trim - which I think is directly related to the selected joystick (x and y). I thought I could get around this by changing the joystick to warthog in the luncher for a while and binding the trim, then go back to the X65F. And actually in the luncher it shows that it’s ok, while in the game the trim doesn’t work. Is it possible to unlock the default setting that the trim must be associated with the active joystick?

sorry I don’t follow clearly … is this an 8-way hat switch, or an analog mini-stick?
(Assuming it’s an 8-way hat, just because I can’t think of a reason analog mini-stick would work in Launcher but not in game.)
There’s some complex config that controls this… in relation to key file and DeviceSorting.txt.
You may need to manually review your cfg files, key file, and DeviceSorting… read the docs, and other recent threads covering

This is the case with the 8-way hat switch. It’s like having two different joysticks connected at the same time and setting the control axes on one and trying to assign the trimmer on the hat switch on the other. Thanks for the hint - I will read the documentation.
