Alternative launcher

Is it possible to set the alternative launcher to use a different key file instead of the BMS Auto key file? I am using a copy of BMS full key file which I have copied, edited and renamed. At the moment I launch from the alternative launcher and I go to set up and load the key file I want to use. Any ideas?

there is a box to tick on the front screen to stop it loading the Auto Key file … “launch without any setup overide”

@chihirobelmo may be able to confirm, but Alternative Launcher (to Launcher as-is), when first run takesBMS - Full
and uses it to createBMS - Auto
(it could be ifBMS - Auto
does not exist it does this). So if you need your own edits maybe edit Auto or delete auto and edit Full.@Ironman53rd is correct that to be sure nothing gets overwritten, “launch without any setup overide”.
Maybe when AL is fully integrated users will be able to select the key file of there choice.

@igorry there’s no 100% perfect way to import a key file, that you made or obtained elsewhere.
in theory if you delete ‘BMS-Auto.key’ and put your stuff in ‘BMS-Full.key’ it will pull from that, at first run, to create its BMS-Auto.key
at least, it should import the keyboard stuff. I think.
for dx-buttons and hats, it’s much more complicated… especially with multiple devices, 32- vs 128-buttons, multiple hats, a dx-shift layer, etc.
