Hud&Text brightness are very weak in VR
-
Hi,
Is there a way to increase HUD and text brightness in VR?
My HUD brightness knob is set to mac and it is still not as bright as without VR.
The text displayed in VR is also very hard to read.Thanks

@janjan Provide more information on your setup/Headset and someone can probably help you.

@1508AD I use HV reverb V1.
The cockpit and the outside world looks fine.
The HUD symbiology and the text are not so clear, as if they lack brightness and contrast.
Also the ICP button text but I think this is something else.
I wanted to know if there is a hidden config option which can change this. -
@janjan well obvs there’s a brightness dial but also make sure you have the day/night/auto switch set appropriately… usually just
SimHUDBrtAuto
there’s also a command callback to rotate through several different colors
OTWStepHudColor
last but not least, in bright sun / clouds, I definitely have to lower sun visor, to read anything on the HUD
SimVisorToggle

@airtex2019 Thanks,
I already have all these set…
I is probably a VR thing since it is very clear without VR.BTW, is the visor working in VR? I don’t think so or al least not for me.
Without VR, my visor is working fine -
@janjan visor works for me. I have it mapped to a DX1 button on my PointCTRL aux button attached to the top of my Reverb G2.
-
@Snake122 mapping is not the issue.
for some reason without VR I see the visor effect, with VR not.I use my Voice Attack plugin so the command is the same for me: “show visor”…
Thanks anyway

@janjan I see the visor down/up effect too in VR. Maybe try mapping it to a DX button temporarily just to confirm is what I’m suggesting to confirm bug or mapping issue.
-
@Snake122
It is defiantly not a mapping issue.
I’ll check later on tonight. -
@janjan it is working now though I changed nothing in my settings.
must have been a temporary issue. -
I can confirm that hud brightness in vr is lower than without vr. This is on quest 2.
