VKB Gladiator NXT SEM EVO AND Gladiator NXT EVO Omni Throttle
-
Hi, anyone has this hardware config?
Help to configure it , will be much apreciated
Thanks in advance -
@JollyRogers I have the Gladiator NXT SCE Premium stick. I have it configured as close to the real F-16 according to the manuals.
Top left ministick is TMS functions, right hat is Trim, bottom centre hat is DMS functions, thumb hat is CMS functions. Pinky is pinky, B1 button (the one on the outer right) is NWS/MSL step. Rapid fire trigger pull is AP off and rapid fire trigger push is paddle. First stage of the dual action trigger is first trigger detent and second stage is second trigger detent. I also have SW1 switch for communication on UHF/VHF when flying MP. I haven’t found any uses yet for the base buttons F1, F2, F3 or the rotary encoder.
On all the hats and the ministick there is also the center inwards push which I haven’t yet bound to something.
These are my suggestions and preferences to make it as close to the real stick. You can of course experiment since it has so many buttons.

Partially… I have the NXT Gladiator Pro with an attached SEM (the lower part in your photo).
I just use the large white lever (with label “flaps”) as my throttle axis.
I have the SEM “wired into” the stick … ie. just single USB cable. The stick has 6 axes + 2 more on the SEM, equals 8 which is the max for a single DX device.
I’m curious about their new “throttle” which is obvs just a left-handed Gladiator stick with a weird angle. Does it move in 2 axis dimensions? My guess is there’s some removable plastic guide/insert that constrains it to just move forward/back in 1 dimension…?

@airtex2019 The NXT EVO base has a small plate that completely locks the roll axis. Can be seen here

Here are some other possible options:
Ministick:
Hat switch mode is POV.
Analog stick mode is X/Y radar cursor.Pinky as modifier so that can double the button functions.
EN1/EN2 radar range and tilt.
Red Start button: Master Arm
B1/B2/B3 as Dogfight / Nav / Missile modes . Could also use F1/F2/F3.
I have trouble precisely manipulating the thumb switch so I use that for zoom in/out and for side to side movement (other flight sims).
I use SW1 and SW2 for flaps and air brake for all flight sims.
Rotary switch for most of the fuel tank gauge settings.
I have every button programmed to light or flash an LED on the stick or SEM but I suppose that is a different topic.

Here’s the dx-button mapping section of my key file, for NXT+SEM, if anyone wants it as a starting point.
Quick guide to how I laid out SEM and the base buttons…
F1-3 => autopilot switches, for convenience
A1-A2 => autopilot paddle switch, and ap-disconnect switch
SW1 => uhf/vhf comms (ptt) also cursor-zero, for convenience
SW1- shifted => dogfight/mrm/cancelSW2 => speedbrakes in/out, toggle
SW2-shifted => gear up/down, hook toggleRed button => emergency jettison (shifted => eject)
B1-3 => convenience buttons for left/right trim
M1-4 => countermeasure program selector
C1 => visor toggle (shifted => nvg toggle)
