Loaded BMS - BasicDX TM Cougar
-
@SgtT11B-0 Also you will be using BMS auto key from now on.
-
@SgtT11B-0 Icarus assisted me, I was using the exact file on Foxy you have above, the biggest thing about the changeover was finding the numbered axis for each HOTAS axis and once we had the HOTAS Control Panel set up as Icarus has indicated above it went quickly together. The key assignments went quickly once axis were assigned. Good luck and ask if more questions.

@Dukera Do I need to clear the memory out of the Cougar, how to I load the launcher setup into the Cougar? Icarus in one of his screen shots shows the button and axis emulation is off not green.
-
@SgtT11B-0 You don’t need to clear memory of Cougar. But you do need button emulation off. You will be pure Directx from here on in. And check the box for windows axis. If you did not do this previpusly you would have had trouble.

@Icarus Thanks so much Icarus. I hope I won’t be a pain in the ass, I am so used to just loading up a profile and learning that profile. Dave

This post is deleted! -
I don’ t have the pinky switch DX Shift for my key mapping.
-
@SgtT11B-0 Search for pinky not stick If it is not there you are not using the full key as your auto key. Try deleting the auto key and launching BMS to create a new one. It looks like you are using basic key.
-
@Icarus could you explain how to do this. Sorry.
This is what I get when searching for Pinky
-
@SgtT11B-0 Go to config folder. Delete BMS auto key file. Launch BMS then back out to create a new auto key file. Then look for pinky callback.
-
@Icarus I found it on BMS-Full, your initial screen shot showed BMS Auto. This confused me. Anyway you can send me your configuration and I can adjust mine to make it my own. So sorry man, I feel like a complete idiot.
Here is is with BMS Full
-
@SgtT11B-0 What configuration is it you want? It is better if you use a new BMS auto keyfile,
-
Anyway to email me one of your BMS keyfiles I can play with. This will give me an idea of what is going on. I don’t have rudder pedals yet, well I did but they weren’t USB. They were old school gameport. Thanks for all your help, really. This has been my blockage about getting back into BMS is dealing with the controllers. Just upgraded to a i712700K and a RTX 3700 and really want to jump back into this sim. I remember back in the day when Falcon 4.0 came out you just loaded the TM file from Jagstang (I think thats what it was ) and you were off to the races. The only switch that seems to work on my Joystick 1 is the POV hats, yet when I hit the other buttons I do get a response on the controller page, just it doesn’t say what it is doing just DX11, or DX 12, with no function assigned.

@SgtT11B-0 Ill send a link with the file. Once you are set up in new launcher there is very little you need in UI setup page. Your auto key will override everything there anyway so any changes there wont stick.
-
@Icarus Appreciate it, at lease I can see whats loaded up and what functions they are doing and I can then create with the limited knowledge I have into a new one. Anyway to rename the file and add it into the HOTAS folder?
-
@SgtT11B-0 No. I will send you a BMS auto key file. Delete your old one in the config folder and put in the one I send you,
-
@Icarus will it work without rudders? Can’t begin to tell you on how much this helps me. Thanks so much.
-
@SgtT11B-0 The one I send you will have the stick only programmed also with shift functions. I have a Tusba so that wont work for you so you will need to setup your throttle in new launcher.

@Icarus is this suppose to be a .rar file? So you are still using the older TQS. How will this affect this file for the Cougar Throttle?
