joystick issues in BMS 4.37
-
Good morning, all. I just started falcon BMS yesterday and I noticed my joystick doesn’t give control surface input despite being setup and saved in the launcher as well as ingame! If anyone has any suggestions that would be much appreciated.

I’m also having issues with 4.37 + X52 Pro.
Mine was a problem with the shift layers not working properly with the default profile (BMS - BasicDX X-52pro). Sometimes it wouldn’t shift, sometimes it would stick shifted. Sometimes it would lost track of some bindings. After some days, I’ve narrowed the problem down to the Alternative Launcher. It seems that, once you launch through it, it messes something up.
I’ve noticed that AL is using a Magnitude of 128, instead of 256 - at least it seems to be.
I’ve binded some keys manually, and noticed that the DX Pinky states were 5 and 133. I imagine they should read 5 and 261, right? Maybe this is messing the profiles (which were created with a magnitude of 256).
And yes, my Magnitude in Falcon BMS.cfg is set to 256.Anyway, I gave up.
I just reinstalled everything and didn’t touch the AL since.
For now, everything seems to be working fine.
Maybe this would help -
@AxelFoley right – legacy .key file profiles (including the ones that ship with BMS stock) aren’t really compatible with AL
You either have to choose AL, and do all your mapping through that interface.
Or avoid AL entirely … or make a religion out of clicking the “don’t apply overrides” checkbox.
