Monster…
Finally, my squadron has found the reason why AIs were showed around bulls eye. That was format problem.
As Piaf said my squad use Korean version Win7 and format was Korean in Region and Language section and when this format changed to English……yeah~~~
It works correctly.
Thank you monster.

@duria
Great news, glad it was only that.@tdr
Ok let me suggest a setup that might workServer computer:
BMS Server that goes in 3D as you usual do.
SQSERVER.Pilot Computers:
VALIDATOR connecting as BLUE or RED according the side they fly in BMS.BLUE GCI:
AISPY connected to SQSERVER as BLUE.
BMS (preferably in window mode) connected to BMS server to the BLUE side of the running TE and staying on the map (2D). Don’t check IVC when connected.
IVC Client with “Force Local Control” checked.
F4AWACS connected as BLUE.RED GCI:
AISPY connected to SQSERVER as RED.
BMS (preferably in window mode) connected to BMS server to the RED side of the running TE and staying on the map (2D). Don’t check IVC when connected.
IVC Client with “Force Local Control” checked.
F4AWACS connected as RED.AISPY only needs to be run once for each side (RED or BLUE). So if you need another F4AWACS for e.g. BLUE, just run only F4AWACS connected to BLUE and IVC (so no BMS and AISPY for the extra F4AWACS).
IVC is needed of course if you use IVC for comms, otherwise you don’t need to run it.

Thank you Monster, we will make a rapid test.

Monster,
I’m having similar issues in that when I’m testing F4AWACS on my LAN, I can only see client aircraft with no AI aircraft displayed. I’m using 2.0.2, default ports, all of which have been checked to match.
Here is my setup:
@Server:
BMS (Server, 3D)
SQServer
Validator (connect to 127.0.0.1)@Client:
BMS (Client, Windowed, 2D, active flight selected in ATO window)
AISpy (connect to Server, All)
F4AWACS (connect to Server, All)In this configuration, only my player ship displays in F4AWACS; the AI aircraft on the 2D screen do not display at all. When allowing the Test Plot with AISpy, the plot displays properly in F4AWACS (both as friendly and bogie as checked). “C” light is green in F4AWACS, and both Connection and BMS lights are green in AISpy.
I have also tried this configuration with validator installed on the client, even though this shouldn’t be necessary. Same result.
Regards,
-
@Home Fries
Can you try with both AISPY and F4AWACS in BLUE channel?
-
Thanks for the quick reply, Monster.
I got the same results with the blue channel. Here are the screenshots from my Client:
Here’s the 2D map from Falcon, with the active flight selected. You’ll notice a red contact and two orange contacts, as well as my own flight (the blue contact).
Here is the image from F4AWACS. You’ll just notice my aircraft and the imported objectives, as well as the good connection icon.
Finally, here’s AISpy:
Hope this helps.
-
Thx Monster.
I love this Program!
-
So it doesn’t seem to be a connection issue, rather an issue with Falcon discovery and memory reading. I’ll try to release a version of AISPY capable of storing debugging info as soon as possible, to see what exactly is going on.
-
Sounds good. I’ll be happy to test anything required.
-
Sorry Monster, but anyway it doesn’t work.
We have tried as you have explain without any good results. These are the steps we have follow:
- BMS Server (running in 3D) + SQSERVER
- Pilots: with VALIDATOR as BLUE
- CGI: BMS (in 2D) + AISPY + IVC
These settings have given the result that we just see our friend, only human, not the AI. In the CLIENTS windows there are not any AI flights and we could not see any enemy.
We have tried also another configuration:
- BMS Server (running in 2D) + SQSERVER
- Pilots: with VALIDATOR as BLUE
- CGI: BMS (in 2D) + AISPY (BLUE/RED/BOTH it doesn’t matter!) + IVC
In this case we have noticed that we see our friend flighting, but not the AI that is with the same flight. We cold also see our Tanker and other flight (all BLUE), but in the same instance we could see the same BLUE name in RED side. This is really incomprehensible (???), but for that I have already given some pics.
At that time we remain in stand by and we will appreciate if you or other guys wants to share with us the use of this smart program.

I think, there is problem with Win XP. Wheh I launch these apps on Win 7 so there is no problem with detecting AI. When I try it on Win XP then no AI is shown. No AI is detected.

I think you’re onto something. I ran my config with the 2D and AISpy on my Win7 rig. I was able to get bandits on F4AWACS on my networked XP rig so it looks like AISpy and its interface with Windows.
My setup for this test:
@Server:BMS (Server, Windowed, 2D)
SQServer
AISpy@Client:
BMS (Client)
Validator
F4AWACSPreviously, I had run 2D/AISpy on my XP rig and had no luck.

I am not an expert, but I don’t believe that OS (XP or W7) is the cause of some problems. We have tried with Xp and W7, but in any way we have had the problems I have described. That is our experiences.
-
It may not be the OS itself, but rather libraries that are included in Win7 by default that are not included in XP, or something along those lines. What we posted were simply datapoints.
-
I’ll look it up and see if it is OS specific. Thanks for the input

@monster
i have a feature reqest.
could you add a password protection for blue and red team.thx
-
Done lots of testing on this, our squadron has the same issue as tdr’s seeing contacts switching from red to blue and viceversa
Our setup is as follows:
- Server BMS 2D running SQServer+IVCServer
- Every pilot running Validator on BLUE
- Human AWACS running AISPY+F4AWACS+BMS 2D
Every contact is just fine as any mission starts, but as mission goes on some of the friendly AI turns red with callsigns like “؉1Chal” or the enemy AI turns blue with callsigns of another blue AI
As far I tested for now I can be almost sure that:
- Enemy AI are red bandits and seen fine on F4AWACS as long as the contact on BMS 2D map is tagged as “Unknown”
- Enemy AI turns to blue when a player or friendly AI identify the airplane type and in 2D map is tagged as it, when this happens, enemy AI gets renamed on F4AWACS to the name of the friendly who identified it
- If identified Enemy AI turns to “Unknown” again on BMS 2D map is again tagged on F4AWACS as red Bandit
Maybe is easier to understand with some pictures
Mission start, everything just fine
Some contacts moving now, forget about north bandit at 2000 ft, its a neutral helo flight, pay attention to the left bandit at FL120, it’s tagged as unknown on BMS
Now, Bull 1 identified those bandits, see how icon on BMS 2D changes and in F4AWACS turns to blue
Bull 1 lost the spike, becomes unknown again and enemy AI is tagged as Bandit again on F4AWACS
As AWACS usually identify enemy planes farther away (by signature or kind of radar contact) it’s quite usual to get enemy AI switch to blue with AWACS name (Charlis, Magic, etc…)
Hope this report helps!
PS: This was a local test with SQserver, AISpy, F4AWACS and BMS in 2D on the same computer for getting the pictures, but it’s happening as I said when the above config is used
-
Thanks Templar, very nice and thorough testing. Unfortunately, I can’t do anything to fix it since the AI data are taken directly from BMS memory. So in your example above, the data in BMS memory indicates that there is a an AI contact called “Bandit” at that position (so since you are using automatic ID is red). Afterwards, when what you described happens, BMS memory indicates that at the same position there is an AI contact named “Bull1”, so the program (since the callsign is in the friendly callsign list) identifies it as friend.
That’s why I’ve said that AI identification is not accurate and you shouldn’t rely on it.
-
Do not worry Templar that I have a solution. A bit poor, but definitive. See you next Tuesday
1 The creator of that mission, change file names within FriendlyNames. And only put them on their side.
2 ° This requires the Super Falcas and his MC or another person, able to get the names of our TE side. And export to a TXT.
And then can change the file FriendlyNames.P.d.
With the Mission Commander or TacEdit can see the names of the flights on our side.greetings Toquemao

I tried what you suggested Toquemao, I think it doesn’t work, but we can try together on our next mission
