iDisplay or TwoMonUSB for older iPads to use Helios
-
Hi,
I have an older iPad4 laying around that gets no use. I was thinking of using it for a touchscreen ICP but it is iOS8 which won’t work with Falcon Control BMS etc.
I did notice that I could install iDisplay or TwoMonUSB to work with Helios. Has anyone tried ether of these recently? They are paid hence asking first.
Also, has anyone already developed a Helios ICP profile by chance?
Many Thanks

@wazza69 Helios does have an ICP Control that just needs some bindings set to get it to work. You could hook up your iPAD using one of those display tools you mentioned. Sorry I can’t comment on that part but it sounds doable. As long as your PC see’s the iPad as a Display you’re good.

@wazza69 I use Spacedesk with 2 ipad 2 minis (and an android), this works very well.
Regarding your ipad 4, I’m pretty sure they can run ios10. 3 - not sure this helps with Falcon Control.
I created an ICP from Icer’s profile, but it means every time it gets updated, I have to recreate it from scratch; I think I’m currently a version behind.

Just to update for anyone else thinking of doing the same. I ended up buying TwoMonUSB (cheap) and it runs on iOS 9.35 and works.
I wouldn’t say it was mega fast but works fine for Helios with a ICP, DED, HSI and RWR. The only (minor) limitations are that it only supports one screen and needs to be wired.
Thanks
