-
Hi guys it has been a while since i posted something useful.
This profiles can be used in 4.32, 4.33, 4.34, 4.35, 4.36 or 37 and next.
Functions like Visor or pilot model will not work in 4.32 and 4.33.For those who dosen’t have a Hotas Set, this is an updated verson of keybindings for BMS to use with an Xbox Controller (360, One, One S|X) Generic for XBOX, i belive that it can also be used with PS Controllers, it has all the fuctions nesesary to work as hotas and can controll the view and cursor simountanously, i include a schematic image of what do each button and its conbinations for other fuctions.
it include the program Xppader to emule the keybindings and mouse, the xpadder key profile and the xpadder controller profile.

Throttle?
How do gamepad pilots prefer to bind their throttle… buttons for the incr/decr callbacks? or is there a popular vJoy/Gremlin plugin that will somehow manipulate a virtual-throttle axis?
-
@airtex2019 presing the bumpers slightly can move up and down engine power it isnt like 0 to 100 instantly and it is not blindly because there is a power indicator in the rite side of the front panel. the engine control and the weapons the radar curso are not conbinated, is like typying if you pres and release I one time yo get one i but if you hold it you get IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII, it is precise enough for air refuel
-
@FalconFighter ah, thanks … I was just looking at the jpg layout image, somehow I missed that
-
@airtex2019 No problem, esencialy all the mapped keys are to emule both the thruster and its buttons and the flight stick its buttons with a Mouse view control so the pilos without HOTAS and or VR/IR headset do not have to release the control to use the mouse or type a command the only thing not mapped is the comm controls for AI management TANKET TOWER FLIGHT ETC,
The IVC Com switch is also mapped the conbinated buttons are A + B + Bumpers for UHV or VHF everything els is from inside the cockpit the left mouse button is mapped on the start button because is easier to slide the right thumb from A B X Y and the right mouse button is mapped on menu because it easy to slide the left thumb from the left stick to menu.
all the combinations follow the same pattern Up Down Left Right for D-pad
in the case of the bumpers and triggers right is for increase and left is for reduce. it may take practice -
@FalconFighter Profiles recently updated, please chek the first post

I dont wanna be an a**hole, but…? 1) gamepad for BMS, realy? 2) button layout is nonsense
-
@GhostDog-0 not to be a double a-hole but … the BMS team recently added specialized native support for gamepad, with a block of new multi-shift-plane callbacks. a layout diagram for these new callbacks is in the Technical-Manual.pdf
but they also didn’t solve for the no-throttle-axis issue … I think there’s room to innovate here, but it should involve bundling vJoy and Gremlin or similar to make the triggers control a virtual-throttle axis
(the button-callbacks for throttle-up/down are still way too sensitive, for me. I think their sensitivity may even be framerate-dependent… which is weird but I can envision how that code might look)

@GhostDog-0 Imagine that for work reasons you have to be away from home many nights… that’s my situation. I’ve bought a laptop so I can at least play some Steam games, Game Pass etc… okay, but I want to fly Falcon… the problem is that I can’t take the hotas with me… If with an Xbox controller It turns out that at least I can drop the couple of bombs… I don’t know, it sounds good to me… I’ll try it
-
@FalconFighter Thanks for your work, I hope it is not extremely difficult to get used to the gamepad
-
@Apolo27 Actualy my profiles works with an extra program to emule the keyboard and mouse called Xppader. but i will check it out the list of commands of airtex2019
-
Nice work, thank you!
