ICP DRIFT C/O toggle not working
-
Hello everyone,
I’ve recently purchased a PSM ICP (shoutout to Sebastian) and I’ve noticed that the ICP: DRIFT C/O Switch - Tog. On/NORM! is not working as it should.
When putting the switch in the ON position it gives a DX8 signal and drift correction is noticeable in the HUD. But putting the toggle back in the NORM position the drift correction in the HUD is not cancelled.
What I do now is that I toggle the switch down to WARN RESET and then the DRIFT C/O is cancelled, noticeble in HUD behavior.
For completeness, NORM position gives a DX29 signal.
My question is, is this ICP hardwarer related or should I turn on some option to have the toggle function working properly. Similar to the Dogfight/Missile Override Self-Cancel function?

Hi,
i suggest you try the following mapping via AL to see if that helps:
I use a Vipergear ICPv2 and this mapping works like a charm.
For your stup that would translate to:
ICP Drift C/O Switch - ON --> DX8
ICP Drift C/O Switch - NORM --> DX8 RELEASE, DX? RELEASE
ICP Drift C/O Switch - WARN RESET --> DX?You didn’t mention what WARN REEST position translates to regarding DX-button.
Hope this helps

WARN RESET is DX16.
How do you set the DX RELEASE command because that would solve the issue nicely.

Just double-klick the entry and toggle via click on the “PRESS”-Button and it’ll change to “RELEASE”.
Final translation to your setup should be:
ICP Drift C/O Switch - ON --> DX8
ICP Drift C/O Switch - NORM --> DX8 RELEASE, DX16 RELEASE
ICP Drift C/O Switch - WARN RESET --> DX16cheers

@Magic49th Thanks for your support! That does the trick.

You have to go to the “Falcon BMS.cfg” file. (//Falcon BMS 4.37/User/Config/)
Edit this file with Notepad++
set g_bHotasDgftSelfCancel from “0” to “1” and save the file.Now the toggle will work when you only asign the "ON and “WARN/REST” switch positions.
That’s it. It took me also a while to get this solution from somebody else.
But it just " RTFM" if you know what I mean. -
@Scooter_185th for the avoidance of confusion, I checked the code and I see no indication that g_bHotasDgftSelfCancel is used for anything other than SimSelectSRMOverride/SimSelectMRMOverride/SimDeselectOverride
this idea kinda blew my mind … couldn’t decide if it was a horrible bug or a cool feature with more widespread use than I knew about … turns out it’s neither, which is good – the press/release binding is the more general purpose solution for all such switches … the dogfight-self-cancel thing predated that development.

I also bought Sebastian’s ICP and you need to add 4lines in your key file
I followed the instructions mentioned herethis document has been a revelation : the explanations are clear
FYI: the order of lines is important if I remember well
