the Caution Light Panel
-
Hi everyone,
For extracting the displays and the panel, I’ve used combination of RTTClient (for MFDs, DED, PFL) and MFDExtractor (for Caution Light Panel) as far, but MFDExtractor suddenly stops and unable to execute.
RTTClient doesn’t have Caution Light Panel feature, so I like to ask how to set the Caution Light Panel on the extended monitor (8-inch USB display) by another way.Any idea would be appreciated.
(I’m using 2 of 7-inch USB displays with Cougar MFD for MFDs, 4.3-inch USB display for DED and 8-inch USB display for PFL & Caution Light Panel.)

@MaxWaldorf Thanks much for your support!

@MaxWaldorf If log.txt and user.config files are useful, please let me know how to send them to you.

Hi,
Not sure if this will help, but the RTTConfig app shown in your post will only work with BMS 4.35. I personally keep a bare bones version of 4.35 to use with the App to create the RTTClient which I then copy and paste into Falcon BMS 4.37 > Tools > RTTRemote folder. I personally only use it for the MFDs though.
There is an apparent fix for this which can be found in the links in this old post:- (Check the last post by Airtex2019)

@MaxWaldorf Thanks for you help.

@Dram Thank you for your input.
In my case, RTTConfig is working fine with BMS 4.37.3 U2.
I used only MFDExtractor before, but MFD display feature became unstable so I changed to use RTTConfig for displaying MFDs, DED and PFL.
RTTConfig doesn’t support CAution Light Panle, so I’d used MFDExtractor only for displaying CLP…

is this what you are looking for? At least the MFDE compilation that we have in our wing works correctly.
Below I leave the link for you to download and try.

@VIPER-0
Hi, Thanks much for your help!
I’ve tried your file but that doesn’t work unfortunately.
I’ve also installed vcredist_x64.exe again but it’s not efficient at all.Something prevents MFDExtractor startingup or something lacks for MFDE on my environment… umm…

Hi,
Finaly, I find the culprit that prevents MFDExtractor drawing the Caution Light Panel!I’m using UI utility Rainmeter, and it should be stopped when BMS, RTT Remote and MFDExtractor activated. For that, there is the process list of excluding apps in its Game Mode.
I don’t know why but that feature did not work properly this time. I re-listed MFDExtractor.exe to that list again, then MFDExtractor started! (Not only the options button but also the stop button appeared on MDFE icon)
I really thank all of you for supporting this issue.
I should leave what I’ve done for solving this issue;
- Re-install DirectX9c (directx_Jun2010_redist.exe)
- Re-install Visual C++ runtime (vcredist_x86.exe, vcredist_x64.exe)
- Remove & re-Install Falcon_MFD_Extractor_v0_6_3_0__x86, then copy the all files of new version MFDE. (MaxWaldorf, VIPER-0, Thanks MUCH!)
- Check ESET security software excludes BMS 4.37, RTT Remote and MFDExtractor.
- Check falcon bms.cfg includes following codes;
set g_bExportRTTTextures 1
set g_bDoubleRTTResolution 1
only in my case,
- Check Rainmeter’s Game mode works properly.
