Virpil CM3 Flaps lever.
-
Hello Forum.
Please tell me how to have the Flaps lever recognised in BMS.
It would be very handy for zoom.
It doesn’t register anywhere on the Launcher, neither key nor axis.
Thanks for your help.

Are you using anything at all on the throttle for zooming. I currently use the slider on the throttle. Watching this thread as I want to use the Flap Lever for something besides sitting idle.

@Bayonet I have the virpil CM3 and like DracFalcon I suggest you to use the little slider on the palm rest for zoom and the flaps lever as gear handle. But no clue why it’s not working, did you calibrate axis on the virpil software before ?

@Croa I do exactly the same, gear handle and slider as zoom.

@kungfoo @Croa @Dracfalcon Hello and many thanks for your replies. Following on from your advise I’ve discovered that the Flaps lever is “seen” by BMS and I’ve mapped it (for now) to Antenna Elevation.
I previously had Antenna Elevation mapped to the little slider on the throttle, so…that means that both the slider and Flap lever are “seen”.
Now, however, I cannot manage to map the slider to "VIEWEXE: Zoom In or Zoom out. I’m missing something.
What do you think? Currently I’m using the mouse wheel to zoom in and out.
Do I have to disable that? Thanks again.

@Bayonet If you are using Alternate Launcher for mapping axis, the zoom axis is in page “Axis Assign” --> View --> FOV

@Croa Fantastic, many thanks. The “little slider” is now zooming away.
I don’t know why I didn’t spot the View tab in the Launcher. Not seeing the wood for the trees, I suppose,
Thanks again
