How do I Know the primary objectives to win a campaign?

KTO or any other theater. How do I find the Objectives so I can Add “Helpful” Packages to my Human controlled Squadron?

@jayb I certainly expected an RTFM response. Thanks for pointing me to the page and empowering me to be a better community member. Thanks man. Committing to RTFM adds to the immersion.

Well, I looked for Kalma and came up empty handed. I can find Pyongyang no problem. Kalma is a bit elusive. Not in the DPRK OOB. Found Kolma Town. I think that’s where the North Korean Hillbillies come from. No offense to Hillbillies nor North Koreans. Just thought it was funny. I’m a Hillbilly myself.

@16th-ACCW-Android Kalma is old Wonson on east coast DPRK.

Read The F*****g Threat Guide page 48. Might be more up to date.

Hehe, not quite sure what you intend to say, text and all. Bad medium for communication. But that was not intended as an RTFM note, just to be clear. I’ve always suspected RTFM-peddlers to not really know where to find the info themselves. But here you go, complete response to your thread name (“How do I Know the primary objectives to win a campaign?”). Without specifying which campaign, I thought, better give him the full set.
On the other hand, if you do believe that is an RTFM response I am a bit honored. For an RTFM response it is way too detailed but that shows that we have evolved. And that is important for a community. Glad you got it sorted, OOB and all.
And who do we have to ask to get a better search option through the OOB, it is a pain right now with those unnamed flags up top and a scroll fest below.
Peace,

That explains Korea and Balkans campaigns, what about other theaters? Is there anyway to find victory conditions for the Nordic campaign etc.,?
-
@mj3437 Since BMS only supports KTO, Balkans, and Israel, you will need to ask creators of the unsupported theatres.
-
@mj3437 Hello just open the .tri files with notepad++. You will see events with numbers, if you fly on the blue side look for the event No17 and you will see what you need to capture/achieve, to trigger the event and win the campaign.

Some years ago theater creators often put the objectives into the campaign description on the screen when you choose one. Maybe that got a bit out of fashion. As @TigerShark said, look into the *.tri files and hope there are enough comments to explain the objective numbers. Those files are in \Data\Campaign\ from your installation directory for Korea and for the third party theaters in their Add-On folders and also \Data\Campaign.
Save0.tri to Save5.tri is the order as they appear in the selection screen. If you don’t know what an objective number stands for and it’s not in the comments of the .tri file, open Mission Commander. There “open mission” under “File” and select one of the Save[some number}.CAM (!) files. When loaded, go to tab Objectives and select all.
The CampID column is the number you search for!
