Solved AAR keybind
-
All,
The key bind shft / for my NWS/AAR/MISSLE STEP will not work for The AAR The NWS and Missle step is working properly but the AAR is not. In game the key stroke shft / does nothing, the only way to open door is to flip switch with mouse. In keymapping for the launcher the button selected does select NWS/AAR/ MSTEP but in cockpit the AAR door does not work. What am I missing?
Thank you,

@vagabonds65 can not repro for me it the NWS opens the AAR door. Just be aware the if you use the NWS stick button the AAR switch on the left panel will not move as well

I’m cornfused. Since when does the NWS button on the SST open the refuel door. It’s to disconnect from the boom.

That’s correct. My understanding of the OP issue that if you have ‘FUEL:AIR REFUEL Switch -Toggle’ bound to a DX button that it doesn’t work.
I personally have that as shift Layer on the NWS A/R DISC.
M;aybe confusing explanaition.
What i wanted to state is that if that toggle is Bound to an DX button tyou only get the Rdy on the Indexer but the AAR Door switch on the panel switch does not move -
@vagabonds65
From the Dash-1 Manual (TO 1F-16CM/AM-1 BMS , which can be found in your BMS Docs folder):4.1.2 NWS A/R DISC MSL STEP BUTTON The NWS A/R DISC MSL STEP button is located on the outboard side of the stick. The A/R DISC function of the switch is activated when the aircraft is airborne, and the AIR REFUEL switch is positioned to OPEN. The button provides a means of manually disconnecting the AR boom. Depressing the switch causes the boom latching mechanism to unlatch and release the boom.
As stated above, the NWS A/R DISC MSL STEP button, when properly bound, does not open or close the AAR door. You have to use the switch to open or close the Air Refuel Door, or bind the proper command(s) ( SimFuelDoorOpen, or SimFuelDoorClose or SimFuelDoorToggle) to a button on your equipment using the Alternative Launcher (AL) or manually press the FuelDoorToggle (SHIFT+r key) on your keyboard. By default, no keypresses are assigned to SimFuelDoorOpen, or SimFuelDoorClose callbacks.
