Any Advice on how to map Orion II F-18 Throttle to BMS's F-16?
-
i’m noticing that the authentic F-16 and F-18 throttle grips are quite different in terms of switches, so I was wondering as to what is near-authentic way to map the F-18 throttle grip in BMS.

I also use the F-18 wingwing hotas, and I simply assigned the F-16 function to the most similar button in terms of functionality and position.
If i remember well, the most prominent difference is the lack of a 4way switch in the F/A-18 stick.
I solved using the “mouse ministick” as a 4 way switch, assigned at the Data management switch (DMS)EDIT:
Sorry, I reread and realized you were referring to the throttle; the approach I used is the same, with the only notable difference being the radar antenna elevation, assigned to an axis on the base and not on the throttle.

@C0ntr0lman there isn’t a near authentic way. You’re missing a hat. The only way to do it is to either use dx shift + a hat to make that hat dual function or move a hat to the throttle. I use the trim hat as dms, and then shift and trim hat for trim. (When I’m using my ffb f15 stick instead of my NXT)

@rubbra I’m talking about the throttle not the stick.
