WIP - Guam Theatre

summ summ …happy x-mas release !! ?? !!

I like the Approach being taken with Anderson Airforce Base. I’m tired of all the Airports looking the same with the exception of Kunsan and Kimpo. The base seems massive and with that it should be able to house multiple squadrons without delaying traffic. Scenery and the water looks great.

Thank you very much my good friend Dave for your Christmas gift :p!
Downloading and going to test it…
Also may i start to create the NavAids with data from real life?
I’m in “ready 5” so just give me the “green” mate.
See you.

Sigh!!! LOL……Install Instructions
1.Unzip the download to your desktop
2.Copy the extracted ALPHAAdd-On Guam folder and paste it to your *:\Falcon BMS 4.32\Data folder
3.GoTo your *:\Falcon BMS 4.32\Data\Terrdata\theaterdefinition folder and open your theater.lst file with Notepad.
4.Add this line:
ALPHAAdd-On Guam\terrdata\theaterdefinition\Guam.tdf
to the bottom of the list.
Save and close the theater.lst file.5.Start the game and select GuamALPHA from the Theater list and click OK.You really don’t have to exit the game and restart after the switch. But,if it makes you feel better,by all means do so.
6. Go fly and have fun

I was asking if you could please edit/update the first post in the topic with the download link (and updated progress percentages, if any) and install instructions.
Eventually, the posts with the download link/install instructions will be lost in pages, making it difficult for people to find.

Dave, “Dead Man’s Hand” remark is in the spot ;).
+1 here.

To those that have “somehow” got around my temporary disabling of the Campaign (should have deleted the F**n’ button…LOL!!!)
go here:http://www.adrive.com/public/HS9a3B/save0.cam
Put it in your *:\Falcon BMS 4.32\Data\ALPHAAdd-On Guam\Campaign folder and overwrite the one that’s there.
This should clear up most of your issue’s……LOL!!!
@Danguard,QT…and other’s…
THIS IS NOT A BETA RELEASE…
This is an ALPHA Release and is a WIP.
Consider it a “Developers Cut” and a teaching aide …that is all.To be more specific:
1. NAS Guam is not in the water anymore. I put it there to remind me to remind you guys of a lesson to be learned……LOL!!!
It is back on land in the new save0.cam…but it is still on a water set TYPE.
Sooo…you will explode when trying to take off or land on those tile’s.
Two ways to correct this gent’s.
First is to take the entire SET in Monsters BIN Editor and change it to PLAINS. Second is to isolate the tile’s in Monsters BIN Editor and edit them by “Drawing” a PLAINS AREA on them.
I prefer the second method as it preserves Polaks ALPHA work on the water tiles
Anyway, you should not be able to take off from an AIRSTRIP in Falcon or so we thought……HEHEHE!!tired demer
No Nikos and Deadman…Let them read first.

Thanks Dave for trying to make Guam available.
I think, despite the fact that it needs still some work, Guam is still very special and new terrain techniques door opening for Falcon BMS.
Lesson learned is that no matter what, and despite any pressing occasion, it is not worthy to expedite any releases , which are not fully (and I mean here 110%) finished and polished. It saves a lot of frustration on part of both: author and the users.
Still, it was very nice Falcon present under the christmas tree - so thanks.
-
I dont think that from a developer point you can say its 110 finished. Every program reveales its flaws in the hands of nuggets. That is the best (mayby not good) debug way.
-
That is the best (mayby not good) debug way.
That was perhaps what I had really meant. But this way or another Guam is great small theater and hopefully will be enjoyed, I am sure.

Firstly, Happy Christmas Demmer and thank you very much for this release! I installed the revised save.0 file and started a campaign, but it is not generating any missions, is that correct?
Thanks! Mark
