Mission Commander beta release
-
yes, the same with me.
the Add Squad function dont work perfectly. some squad i added cant auto-generate flight by HQ, and cant manually generate neither.
everytime i click “Fix All Squad” button after mission, a message said “26 of 61 squads roster are fixed, do u want to save?” why the roster keep broken?Roster don’t get “broken”.;)
What the function does:
Every squadron or battalion has an amount of vehicles which is stored in the database. As an example an F-16 squadron has 24 AC.
If you loose a couple of AC, this number gets smaller. However the database will remain on 24.
During creation of a mission or campaign, the amount of vehicles are set to higher that the maximum from the database.
If you use this function, MC just compares if the amount of vehicles are the same as in the database.
If not, it will set it to this value. This means that if you run a campaign for a while and you have lost a couple of AC from a squadron, this squadron gets “fixed”.
Use this function if you create a TE or create a complete new campaign. Don’t use it during a running campaign, unless you are sure you want this.Gr Falcas

i know what is wrong now.
use TacEdit to check, it report “u have a duplicate campID, 4299” which is my added EF-2000 squad. there is a T-55 battalion have the same ID.
i assign a random ID to it, then the squad can create missions.Roster don’t get “broken”.;)

Gr Falcassome squad have roster number “-2046852698” and “MAX -2046852698”, is it normal?
or should i edit it to 24 for a good start? -

Yes, the roster number is normal as it is not the number of AC, but a row of bytes saying which slot of the roster is filled or not. This is a good example of why I created MC. The user does not need to worry about a funny number like “-2046852698”, but can see and change the roster by clicking on the vehicle.
Using Tacedit is one of the reasons that rosters get wrong numbers.gr Falcas

another old issue since 0.3.3: the new squad has 24 A/C at start ( in game UI). but after OZ play, it became 12 A/C ( not combat loss), same with origin squads,
check with MC, it show 24 A/C, and origin squads show 12 A/C.
is it a bug? i knew the origin A/C counting not work very well -
Most probably that has to do with the max allowed vehicles for a team.
Have a look under Team, select the correct country and check under Other the “Max Vehicles”Gr Falcas

You can add squadrons (button under units)
Found a bug & has been reproduced.
When we add squadrons within MC, then go into Falcon and attempt to create a flight, Falcon will CTD.
-
Hi Falcas!
I have a little feature request if you got some time to spare (yep, who really have some time to spare, but anyway…)
I would like to have MC be able to create and edit the squadron list used in campaign selection screen to populate the map with airbase and squadron to be chosen.
In TacEdit I can do it with the menu function “fix/update squadron” if I recall correctly (I don’t have tacedit with me now), and can edit them in the “campaign” section, but can’t delete records or move them up or down, so I don’t have complete control over them, and sometimes it’s a problem for me, since I would like to have complete control.
Thanks for your dedication! -

Has already been fixed.

Nice.
…then we await the fixed release.

Thanks for your dedication!I don’t think you can do this with with TacEdit. There is a function “Rebuild Squadrons”, but it only makes sure that the change you made to a squadron will actually work.
Can you explain what/when the list will be a problem for you?Gr Falcas

If you’re referring to the BETA 0.3.3.0, that’s the version that led to the Falcon CTD.
We simply added squadrons and edited the squadron number in MC, nothing more. When we opened the TE up in Falcon & tried to add a flight, it would CTD every time.

Did you click on the link?

A page that links me to a program I already have?

That is hard to believe, as it has just been updated to 0.3.4.0

Edited……
Last page refresh spat it out. I see it there now

Now I’m in front of TacEdit, and the function I meant in my previous post was exactly “Rebuild Squadrons”.
In “Campaign”->“Airbases” tab I can review all the squadrons and make changes to patches, their base location, etc. and I can see all these changes in BMS in the map on the campaign selection screen.
In MC I can see the various records, but can’t delete/alter them, in tacedit I can edit them, but can’t delete them.
It’s really not an essential feature and I can live without it, but I would like to be able to edit these fieldsEDIT: Big thanks for the new version btw!
EDIT2: Also I have another feature request (I promise I will shut up after this one), is there a way to export a couple of unit instead of the entire list? (maybe I can’t find it though)

Why can’t you make changes to Squadrons (or any other unit) in MC???
Just double click and you can do almost everything that you want with a squadron.
Including changing patches and location ect. You can even change the type of aircraft that a squadron uses.Gr Falcas

Amen.

I do that and it work very good! But sometimes I need to edit those field to change the airbase location, etc. and I would like to delete some lines if I the need arises!
Anyway, is there a way to export only some unit instead of the whole list? Maybe selected ones?
