How can i spot it?
The word kind of says it all UNspotted. However is the briefing it will probably say intell reports Sa-4 launchers 10nm west of pyangyong. Then you will have an estimate of where the SA-4 is. Offcourse you can just go out fly over and you can “spot” missile launches.

You can’t… as it is not you that spots the battalion, it is the WDP “intel officer” that know which SAMs are spotted or not.
Plan a flight close by as “recon” to spot a battalion will help.gr Falcas

I have a question concerning the font size in version 3.4.7.0. When I print out the data sheets or the Coordination Card, the font is larger and darker than that of another of the pilots that I fly with. When I send him my jpg for him to print, they are different from his and the other way around. He sent me one to compare and sure enough, there was a distinct difference. Anyone have any thoughts on this.

Different resolution selection maybe?

Hi Falcas, i have three questions about the ATIS report and active runway on the datacard.
Yesterday i had setup WDP for a ITO campaign flight from ramat david. One thing i noticed is that the wind direction, speed, temperature and pressure in the WDP ATIS report were different than what i could find through BMS briefing and weather settings (set to probabilistic btw).
It appeared that the active runway was 08, more matching the wind data of BMS briefing. My question is how does WDP create the ATIS report from probabilistic settings and how acurate is it for me to rely on/determine the active runway? Does WDP auto set the active runway based on its own ATIS analysis?Im keeping in mind that ramat david might have some issues (ILS08 for one).
Thanks for helping me getting more out of WDP! Great tool!

The print function is totally different that the saved JPG, so not wondering that you might find some differences.
You could just print out the jpg as this gives you a lot better control for sizing the datacards on the paper that you use.
I almost removed the print function completelyGr Falcas

Grtz, uit purmereutel.Hi,
WDP reads the weather file that belongs to the mission, so the answer to the question how accurate is the weather in WDP…
Very accurate. So why did you see a difference than?
It is good you wrote that you have set the weather to probabilistic (Very bad name btw, but that is a different matter).
This means that the weather will be created at random. So even the BMS briefing can be totally different than you find in the 3D world.
Using Deterministic (also questional naming…) and saving the weather (very important!!!) will put all the relevant weather data in the mission weather file. WDP will read this weather and create the ATIS.The runway selection is done by comparing wind direction from the saved weather file and runway directions for the selected departure airbase.
As the active runway is set in Falcon at the time you move from 2D to 3D, there is no option to check what Falcon has as active runway.
This is actually not far from RL. Don’t forget that the ATIS/METAR is a observation from the last 30min before the report is released. It is not the actual weather at the time you get the report! If there is a hugh change in weather an new ATIS/METAR will be released. (with indication “special” to show you that there has been a large change)
In RL it is also not uncommen that you plan for RWY A and by the time you are ready to go the runway has been changed to RWY B.
This also happens when you approach the airport for landing. You have to be flexible. What about ILS?
Well as in RL, there is no need for an ILS or fly an ILS unless the visibility and/or clouds are getting low.
In most cases fighters will use a visual approach, like a overhead brake.
Every cloudbase (broken or overcast) more than 2000’ and visibility more than 3km (2nm) will be fine for a visual approach.Gr Falcas

Thanks falcas, i get it. Didnt know about the saving deterministic, this helps me plan with better consistency. The probabilistic setting will biase the performance TO data to a tiny degree too.

Hi Falcas
one Cuestion.
is there any possibility of adding by WDP, the STTP Info 51 -59 and 81-99. if remember correctly. I recall our cartridge.

Hi,
Everything that is in the DTC is in WDP as well.
STPT 31-55 as the Line STPTs, you got those already.
STPT 56-70 are the PPTs, also have them. All STPTs with higher numbers are not in the DTC, so can’t have them in WDP eighter.
71-80 are the ones that are received as datalink transfer. So those will be empty at the beginning of the flight.
81-99 are open.Gr Falcas

High-Res icon (512p/256p/128p etc) i use for WDP in Windows 7.

Hi Scuby,
Nice icon you created there!!!
Also thanks for sharing.Gr Falcas

Hi,
Time for a little update, see the release post
https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?5293-Weapon-Delivery-Planner
or have a look here:
http://www.weapondeliveryplanner.nl/news.html#wdp1
for the changes and the latest file.I want to highlight one change that you will probably notice a lot.
The previous Intel Officer has been fired due to a low score on his last evaluation report.
So a new Intel Officer has been hired. He is a new, young smart kid with lots of potential.
He is good with computers and did a lot more homework on the possible threads.
His communication skills are also better and he has good connections with personal in the JSTAR community. This means that if a JSTAR is airborne and on station he will get the latest hot information about the battalions. Meaning that you will get more spotted battalions at longer ranges.
You will also get information about newer SAMS systems like the SA-17 and SA-19, all depending if the have been spot or not.The JSTAR has a capability of looking at ground vehicles that are 200nm away. Also moving targets are spotted and identified. So having a JSTAR airborne is getting more important than before. If there is no JSTAR airborne, all spotting have to be done the old fashion way by flying an aircraft up there and spot the battalion. Also moving vehicles can not be relayed to the Intel Officer without a JSTAR, so no information on those threads.
Good hunting,
Falcas

You forgot to mention that we can now print A5 Datacards! Thanks a lot, much appreciated!

Thousand Thanks, keep improving and adding other options to WDP.
It’s fantastic.
This perfect, but I think I’ve found a minimum error. And that is when you add other Patriots and Air Defence from our side. Not indicate the range of action.
I’ve marked with a small circle.thanks
Toquemao

Yep, good one Toquemao.
Found it already and fixed it. Was not only the Patriot, but also the Hawk.
I’ll check some more and will release a new version soon. Have included some more new stuff today as well. Thanks for the report.

Thank you for your effort

Hi Falcas
Talk to you about that, no SAM radar. Have the same problem

hello Falcas.
I think I found another problem.
When active, AUTO PPT in MAP. Everything is right. But when I go to DTC this is what appears. No Range, No type

This is the same bug and fixed.
With a little bit of luck I will release a new version today.Gr Falcas
